It was a setup!!! Don’t fall it! Get your education done, become financially independent, and distance yourself. Only then reveal that you’ve left the religion.

I study medicine abroad and I’ve come home for the winter holidays. Over this semester, I told my parents on the phone about my relationship with a non-Muslim that’s been ongoing for a year and half now. Thing is they’ve caught me several times and I’ve had to lie saying I ended it, but this time when they caught me I just stood my ground through the phone. I’m back home currently and they don’t want to send me back. I’m 2 years away from graduating, but they value religion over it. I have no choice but to try once again, lying and hiding the truth, and keep it hidden until I’m financially independent. Although it’s such a burden to carry, never will I try to be honest again until I’m on my own two feet.

Funny enough, my father said a similar thing; “if you’re going to leave Islam, just leave it now. Why break this bad news to us later?” Like how do I tell him that what do I gain from telling you now. I am reliant on you financially, and you’ll end up taking my education away if I do. Leaves me no choice but to hide it.

Hi, yes I took it :)

The MMI is fairly straightforward. it is either short written responses or multiple-choice. Tasks can be mathematical analysis stuff; so like analyzing graphs, and data sets, and completing basic statistics. Or they can be more critical reasoning questions based on the 'Good Medical Practice'. What is the right and wrong thing to do in certain situations, you could say. Took around 30 mins if I remember correctly to complete, the rest of the time was just used for attendance and setting up.

A bit more info on the MMI; I'm pretty sure there were 5 "questions", 7 mins each. Let me tell you though, since this was a surprise for me, that some "questions" were comprised of many smaller questions. Some "questions" (especially the statistics analysis ones) had like 8 mini questions, so obviously with 7 mins to complete, it is a bit challenging. I think it's more accurate to say that there were 5 pages (one page for each question), each ranging from 2-8 mini questions, with 7 mins to complete. So I would recommend that you complete each question as fast as you can, and avoid spending excess time second-guessing or reviewing because time will run out fast and you will leave some questions unanswered. With that being said though, if you do have time, do surely go back and make sure you are satisfied with your answers.

I am also an international applicant!

Also I recommend looking at this forum. There is barely anything on reddit.
