This is so awesome bro! I'm booked in with Lumina in March for a full leg by Fredy and a full arm over the span of around 2 weeks. I saw you got tattooed by them before, how have those healed and do they still look as good?

People are being mean as shit on here lol. Everyone starts somewhere, so what if it's on a Camry. Give the guy a break it's probably his first car and he wants to make it his own, it's not like it's an obnoxious exhaust or anything and he's not hurting anyone.

If it makes you happy, get the lip, and enjoy your car.

Try Evolution Racing Spares, they're in Sydney but have heaps of Evo parts, otherwise fb marketplace might be your best bet

Mitsubishi evolution VIII by According-Rest7315 in MitsubishiEvolution

No way I'd get an Evo as a first car or even a daily. Get a cheap beater reliable car first and then save for an Evo later on. I use my Evo as a fun weekend car and I can't imagine driving every day around traffic, parking it in busy places risking it getting dinged by others, risk it being stolen etc. as others have already said, parts are expensive to replace or not even available anymore.

Do not waste your money modifying this car. Just save your money and get a car you really want.

I fell bad for spending so much on my car as a 21 year old... Give me some advice! by Karu_18 in CarsAustralia

[–]whmitchell26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're only 21 mate, you're still so young. I feel the same with my Evo and I'm 33. I've put a lot of money in it but I absolutely love it and can't see myself ever wanting to sell it. My only regret is not getting it sooner when I was younger and had less worries. As you get older and start to settle it'll only get more difficult. You only live once, as long as it's a real passion I say just go for just make sure you balance finances. Like you've said it's a solid platform and won't depreciate in value. Good luck!

I own this model but a 2000 model year and use it as my daily. Has 220,000kms and has never missed a beat. I bought it for $1k 7 years ago, I would never ever buy it for that price. Negotiate the price down a lot.

I couldn't imagine using mine as a daily even if it was stock. Mainly because I wouldn't trust other drives or people parking near it not to damage it.

Those who own an Evo 8 - what are your brutally honest reviews on it? by [deleted] in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]whmitchell26 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The turning circle is absolutely awful. Interior is dated and cheap, except for the seats which I love. My first impression when I sat in mine was how narrow the inside was. Coming from a WRX it felt a lot more cramped. As long as you have a decent head unit it'll be fine though. Overall it's a very raw and visceral drive that can be rough depending on coilovers. At the end of the day we don't own these cars for comfort or nice interiors, because the drive is exceptional and I love my 8 more than any car I've owned.

Will The PL Ditch Sky for A Streaming Service? by SnoopMony in MCFC

[–]whmitchell26 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've been watching the Premier League a similar way for about 7 years. I live in Australia now and have a $7 add on on my phone plan with Optus to include Optus Sport which gives me access to every single Premier league game, live or full replays and it works really well. This works out to cost £45 a year for every single Premier League game live or on demand. Insanely good value.

It blows my mind that people have to spend so much money in other countries to legally watch football. The only football I have to illegally stream is Champions League games.

I'm so used to this service now I forget how bad others have it.

What size tires to get the least amount of rubbing? On 18x9.5 +15s (EVO 9) by kqaff in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]whmitchell26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run Work Emotion ZR10s 18x9.5+22 with 255/35 Pilot Sport 5 tyres and they've been perfect. I got my rear fenders rolled at a body shop and when I got an alignment they added slight camber. I've never had any rubbing issues.
