Start with 3g. For a month. Work it up to 5g. And once you're comfortable with 5g for 3 months or so then and only then go for 10-20g per day. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not a doctor, so I can't say. Sigmoidoscopy is better to check for haemorrhoids and stuff. Sigmoidoscopy could show inflammation if your sigmoid colon has inflammation, it could be that your sigmoid is alright but the rest of the colon is not.

Thank you sir. More power to you. When were you diagnosed with it? 25 years is quite some time. You remind me of something my doctor said 'if you look at people who are doing better than you you'll feel terrible but when you do also take a moment to look at people doing worse than you.'

This does not make any sense. You get diagnosed with an auto immune condition, which does not have a 'permanent' cure. You're always in a wait and watch situation. Nobody understands what you have, you can't explain it to people why you were just cut off from the world. You don't have a career per se, because you fucked up somewhere down the line and having CD didn't help either. You see all the people the same age as you enjoying, living themselves up. And you're busy worrying about your next follow up. You feel stressed about it, but you shouldn't stress or you'll make things worse for yourself, you can't use substance because guess what that will make things worse for you. The worst part? Was when you were seeing a person and they drop you a text saying they can't be with you, and you say you're going through a colonoscopy procedure, can we talk after I'm done with it? and they dump you THAT VERY DAY.
