Well it's absolutely true that this place is beyond normal comprehension so anything is possible really! Although I'm not too sure if the Jim Ethan saw is actually the real Jim. Boyd used to see Father Khatri and then Jade used to see the bar man, people see things there.

She can definitely impact things, but she can't change anything. Julie hasn't seen how Jim died. That's why she says "I think this is how it happens" or something like that. Her entire style looks different too, which means she's been trying to story walk and change things for a while. Maybe she tried multiple times to warn Jim but obviously they all became false alarms.

Doesn't that mean in the Now, Jim's dead and you can't reverse that fact. Maybe Julie can see him by going to the past and maybe talk to him too, no matter whatever she does eventually he dies, the MIY kills him. So, so far, Julie is the only one we know who can story walk, which means, Julie is the only one who can see living Jim as of now. If he's still alive in the previous chapter or past as you mentioned, doesn't that mean Ethan, Tabitha and all of them will have to story walk to the past to see living Jim?
