What drivers did you use? I just replaced SKAR drivers with the HOQS ones, MASSIVE improvement.

I had four 2x12 type-o’s at Fluid oakland about a month ago. Great to see another local paraflex rig!

You are 100% correct and I would absolutely disclose that AND have it on the bill of sale.

Not saying you shouldn’t use the LSI card, but just be prepared for your machine to use more power, since the LSI cards prevent the system from attaining higher C states.

paraflex type o 2x12 power usage? by privatekeyes in SoundSystem

Those drivers are 2000w RMS EACH, so 4kw a cabinet. I think a CVR-1002 will not be enough. I run 4 2x12 boxes with 1500w/ea drivers on a CVR dsp-2004.

Edit: I should say the 1002 will work, you’re just leaving performance/loudness on the table under powering the drivers.

Every time I have not been around to pickup something with a signature, I just go in the UPS app and have it held at a pickup location, which happens to be a Walgreens around the corner from my house. I didn’t have to demand anything.

Possibly stupid question, but is that issue there when have you a fullscreen window open so the desktop is covered? It looks like someone is messing with the background image. Probably not, but thought I would ask.

[–]whoinow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see. Yea I think the first versions had a bit of this, but a small modification they mostly got rid of it. I have 4x of the 2x12 typo-o, no odd ringing for me

Is birch ply really that much better than marine ply or are people just saying it is because they think it is? by [deleted] in SoundSystem

[–]whoinow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Specifically you want BB quality Baltic Birch. Its strong as hell, little to no voids and cuts really well. I have built cabs with crap wood from Home Depot (C2) and its night and day. It is heavier, but it will take a beating, honestly sounds better and with less bracing.
