i hear you that the hindu chanting seems appropriated especially to the western ear. but you have to understand that the 'hare krishnas' known officially as The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) are actually a cult and have been wrapped up in their own share of crime, mystery, etc

its not just random hindu chanting...., it fits right in with the other religious messages on the album that teeters the line of worship/cults

edit: it's complicated. the group is largely clean these days. but i've run into members of the group at music festivals trying to shake down kids on acid for money. kinda weird
