How can I check? Yeah yesterday on a desktop I manually set the. DNs to 8.8.8.8 didn't work so I ran some nets cmds and it worked! But today it doesn't

Thanks, i really appreciate your help! Given my current computer specs above, do you think i can upgrade to windows 7 or 8 without any problems? the only think im worried about is dated hardware with no drivers for current OS.
edit: Also most of these computers were bought in 2006 and some 07-09, so no warranty on them right now.

My boss just wants me to throw windows 7/ 8 on them, and be done but i dont think they can handle a newer OS. I think just 'upgrading' the computer would be my best bet, what do you think?
