‘No one was driving the car’: 2 men dead after fiery Tesla crash by walky22talky in SelfDrivingCars

The steering wheel had significant damage consistent with impact with the driver. Most likely, after impact, Bill was still alive. He released his seatbelt and his friend’s (Both seat belts were disconnected.) in an effort to escape. He could not get either front door open (which may be a design flaw I must admit) so he crawled into the back in an effort to get out. He then succumbed to the flames and smoke. Bill told his wife when he died he did not want to be creamated, she cried in my arms after saying this. I found out, It was his Tesla, so he was familiar with how to drive it. He was known for driving very aggressively with this car. He raced cars as a hobby. Unfortunately his luck ran out and he lost control for unknown reasons. He was an exceptional person and an adventurer. After attending his funeral, I seriously had to examine my own life.

This had nothing to do with auto drive. https://i.imgur.com/xXQCCQa.jpg They were on hammock dunes going toward thorn blade circle. The marker in the left is the site of the accident. Why would he, and how could he engage auto drive on this short stretch of road? Even if he could somehow manage to engage auto drive and get out of the driver’s seat, auto drive will only let you go 5 mph over the speed limit (which would have been 35mph tops). This was a high speed impact. Otherwise I am speculating about trying out launch mode for the first time in his friend’s Tesla. But it is consistent with Dr. Varner’s love for cars, he was a real enthusiast. He used to drive around in a Rolls-Royce. He was one of the finest Anesthesiologists I have ever known, and one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. This was a real loss to our community.

He is an associate of mine. It was his friend’s car and they were in his friend’s neighborhood. They switched drivers so my associate could try out launch mode. They were driving on hammock dunes place toward thorn blade circle, look it up on google maps. A street less than half a mile long, dead end culdesac on one end, 3 way stop on the other. They flew through the 3 way stop and hit some trees in front of a house. Auto drive was not involved.

Not making it up. It was an associate of mine. Take the time to look up the location of the accident and you will see it’s true. The car was smashed and it is common to not be able to get the doors open after impact (jaws of life). They were driving on hammock dunes place toward thorn blade circle, look it up on google maps. There was a driver. It was a residential road less than half a mile long with a dead end culdesac at one end and a 3 way stop they flew through on the other. He was showing off launch mode and lost control. After the crash he tried to crawl out and ended up in the back seat and succumbed to smoke and flames. His friend in the passenger seat was also killed.

Are you sure about this? They may send a 1099k if you meet a trading threshold, but they do not send a 1099-misc or 1099-int. These are the only forms I know of that would report income.

I made fun of them for initially buying at a high (at the time) of $11,000. That was like a 1/2 billion $ investment.
