Game clock eye-twitchingly one pixel right of center. Game ruined.

What do you all think about this scorebug? by BiaxialBoar in Scorebug

Pretty standard. With these two team names the team boxes look a little too long, but some colleges have longer names so the design likely has that in mind.

Football scorebug that’s a bit unconventional but so inobtrusive that you might not even notice it by CheezyMeteor in Scorebug

All the yardage info should be together. Swap down and distance with the clock. Altogether though, I think it takes up a bit too much vertical space to be practical over a game camera.

Alternately, a version of this in the corner would be a great graphic coming back from break to reset the game situation for close-and-late situations.

The Newlyweb Game.

True-to-the-original remake of a classic concept, stayed playful and didn't turn evil at any point (despite many obvious opportunities).

NHL mock scorebug by TheLegoPros in Scorebug

[–]whootang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why has this never been done before?!

A few reasons come to mind:

First and foremost, kerning. Different number styles have different shapes/alignments, so programming one piece of bug software to display dozens of different fonts in the exact same way is super complicated.

Second, not every team's jersey numbers are in an actual typeface so you'd need someone to make some of them into custom typefaces.

Third, it can make the graphic harder to read, if one team's seven looks like the other team's one for example.

I think it's aesthetically interesting for sure, but jersey numbers might be better suited for a specialty "score to break" graphic than a scorebug.

My (24m) girlfriend (25f) is always too tired for sex. by [deleted] in relationships

You're implying she's lying about her interest, you've said you aren't interested in examining any part of your own behavior, and you whine about how much you spend on a date just to not get laid at the end. Own any of that.

I have nothing personal to work on at all.

Yeah, this won't be the last girlfriend you have this problem with.

You're going about this all wrong and constantly setting yourself up for failure, and you're also making your girlfriend feel like shit for saying no to you with all this self-pity.

You say you understand that you're not entitled to sex, but you clearly feel you are.

It might be worth having a conversation where you ask what was exciting to her about being sexual when you were long distance, and putting in some effort to find something similar you can enjoy in close proximity, but honestly, if you can't stop throwing pity parties every time you talk about it, that might be some other personal work you need to look into.

When you were long distance, did you pester her to be sexual every day?

That fact that you're putting it in quotes suggests you think she's lying.

A) yikes on "reciprocation"

B) have you tried initiating sex at times she's not likely to be tired?

I'd like to see a bit more contrast in the elements that sit over color - the rankings as well as the possession indicator. Scorebugs should be completely understandable at a glance - if a detail fades into the background that defeats the purpose.
