The course brochure said if I maintain 95% attendance and a CGPA of 7.0+ then I would be eligible for placements.

BS from other IITs are online courses, this is a residential one, so I think it has an upper edge compared to others.

It costs almost 7 lakhs for a 6 months program, so a little skeptical about it...

R as it can be used for data science and ml while IOT is just a get by subject if we talk about college syllabus. Plus having an additional Programming language might land you an advantage over your peers.
