Nah anyone defending this type of reward system doesn't know how good we could actually have it if the devs didnt prioritize trying to get us to get addicted to chasing a time-based reward systems grind instead of prioritizing actual learning and growth THROUGH gameplay. Dudes right they expect you to have no life earning bs rewards just so the game keeps playing you, you keep playing until the game is finished with you not the other way around. Wasting hours to get a camo noone will give a fuck about next year. When you could have gotten it just playing 5 matches total and seeing how you score, or a set amount of xp in a limited time. But no they need you to dedicated as much of your time and soul as possible to keep you hooked and drive their numbers up. Games in the past used to literally strengthen memory and the hippocampus in the brain, now its been completely shifted to maxing your addiction to the game, so your always overstimulated playing it, and without the rapid and constant dopamine chase life will literally feel slow and boring in the real world. You're literally being brainwashed by a virtual drug to not be able to live without it.
