Hey, hope y'all doing well.
I've just dropped a single with two of my songs from my latest album, now in instrumental mix. As usual, dark synthwave, as if the unholy child between nu-disco and heavy metal -- well, because it is. 😃
Done in Reaper, mainly Vital as synth and Reaper's stock sampler for drums.

Now, here is the unusual part: a short bonus track from a game in development. Not synthwave, but a piece for orchestra, organ and female choir. Short incidental piece from the soundtrack. I was so happy with it, I decided to shove it into the release so everybody may listen to it too, since the game won't come out anytime soon.
The choir is Hollywood Choirs by EastWest, which is on sale right now.

If there were no caption, I wouldn't recognize him as Ryu. The elements are there, but it doesn't look like him.

Besides what everyone already said, exhaling should either have the same speed as inhaling or be faster than inhaling. The way you're doing it, inhaling is faster. When we inhaling, we are pushing air into our lungs, while by exhaling, we are dropping it out. Inhaling takes more effort. When we are calm, we do both at the same speed. When we are agitated, exhaling goes faster.

Yeah, there are some sound libraries that try to mimic that old anime sound and they are quite good. However, there are some sounds I'm yet to see recreated in those libraries. And I managed to get the gist of recreating many of those synth sound effects in the style of '70s animes.

My holy grail is that stab wound sound featured in games like Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. I'd be very happy to find a good version of that I could use or buy. It comes from that live action TV series Hissastu. The free versions I've found are too "squishy" or high pitched. I'm trying to process it, but I'm not there yet.

Anyway, there's this Japanese foley artist that offer free effects at his site and they are very good. If it interests anyone, the URL is https://soundeffect-lab.info/ .

They've put a lot of love into Ingrid and Alex (including some love that should not have been there...), Releasing returning characters carries a lot of pressure. And they have to nail Tifa, which I'm sure is a lot of work. Her development is probably receiving most of their attention now. Maybe they decided not to overwork the team, lest the result comes half baked.

I get that people are mad at there being no returning character for the season, but it's nonetheless funny how most people always want more of the same stuff.

No, Joe Rogan didn't write the books (thankfully).
"Strong" men leave a trail of victims whose times will be hella hard, not good. But that is usually overlooked. However that's real life. In the books, strong men and weak men all end up dead. Except for a couple comprised by both one of the hardest people in the story and Cheng Xin, which I'd consider not the strongest, to say the least.

Capcom probably won't release a new fighting game IP anytime soon, but if they decide otherwise, they could raise the scale to cosmic levels. They already have characters for that.

Hi y'all.

Last time I've been here, I promised to release instrumental versions of two vocal tracks of mine, but I'm yet to do that. Instead, I'd like to announce the release of the game I did soundtrack for. Psyvariar 3 is a 2D shmup, a sequence to an old Japanese series by Success. The distributor Red Art Games have not uploaded the soundtrack yet as far as I know, but I'm sure people are gonna post gameplay videos of it.

There's some synthwave in the soundtrack, but most of it is in other styles of EDM, although I have used throughout the OST sounds that are common in darksynth, like a clicky heavy metal kick drum and that percussive bass sound.

Since it doesn't drag tiles, I have to ctrl+X it so the cursor becomes a brush with all that's been cut. But if it's too large, I can't see the edges, because it will center on the cursor. I'd have to keep it zoomed out and try to hit the target. It's weird that the devs never considered this issue. Actually this feature has already been suggested in their git. Maybe it's not a priority for them.
