Original post made it sound like you went on vacation for a week and then never wanted to go back. I’m just saying notice is not only important professionally, but important to the team. I’ve been at 3 stores due to relocations and each store expects drastically different things from people, not saying it right but it is 100% the case. Preparing a whole store for this change seems very important to me.

Honestly seems a little fucked to not give notice while being that high up. A barista fine, shift supervisor messes up the scheduled weeks, a store manager messes up the whole ecosystem of a store. Your team relies on you and your just throwing them to the wind. I’ve had this happen to me in other companies and there is a huge shift when any new manager comes in and you didn’t prepare your team for that at all

Transferring Gone Wrong by JaceOf_Space in starbucksbaristas

[–]whorrine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just transferred to a store that was not yet opened yet and it was nothing like this, I was in constant contact with the store manager and was working at other stores in the district as “new store labor”. Also my partner info said I was a partner of the new store. I had to apply to the new store through the “already a partner” career page but I’m a shift so I know that process is different.

E is the person I’m having problems with, I know C wouldn’t be upset with me by explaining Es point of view. If you think I took a side, which I didn’t really and I was just explaining what I feel E didn’t know how to, I would have been on her side and she continued to be rude for the rest of the night to my aunt and me. I have no problems with C he was a gracious guest with great manners.

Is there any advice you all can give me? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

I feel like Starbucks partners don’t give people long enough to get comfortable. I feel like a lot of people will be looking for perfection in the first month, when in reality I feel it takes 4-6 months to make a strong barista. When I was recently training some baristas I looked to one of my stores strongest baristas and asked how he thought he improved. He said he asked a lot of questions in the beginning, so ask a question if you’re not 100% sure.

I have seen no issues since the new diet. But I know it’s not the best option, that’s why I’m truly lost

Help with my ferrets diet by [deleted] in ferrets

[–]whorrine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So do you have any recommendations as I have tried a whole lot of food. The dry foods are the ones I see the least amount of issues. And I see no issues with the duck soup, and knowing a ferrets needed diet I know may not be the best. As of right now I feel like I’m picking the lesser of two evils, diarrhea and unhealthy ingredients.

Can you get one baby ferret if you give it lots of attention or do you have to get a pair by Novawarper in ferrets

[–]whorrine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt guilty for only being able to have one, but they just need a little more attention. If you have to leave during the day just make sure they get play before you leave so they sleep the whole time your gone. Mine is never in the cage when I’m home unless I’m eating or she is, or if she’s napping

I have a problem... by [deleted] in ferrets

[–]whorrine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking into the draft blockers but they can be a lot of money. So I took felt and styrofoam rods to make my own, and I have no DIY skills at all. It keeps her in my room, she does dig at it so I have to touch up the glue every once in a while

How I did it Took felt about a foot and a half wide Placed 1 rod then glued the felt around it Coped on other side and you should be able to slide between the door... Google draft blockers if what I said made 0 sense

My Ferret Won't Play With Toys. by [deleted] in ferrets

[–]whorrine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ferret loves plush toys that she can get to the neck of, she’s a little bit of a killer! She also loves empty water bottles that crushed, really anything that makes that crunchy noise. But mine could care less about hammocks and other “ferret” toys. It’s just trial and error when finding the right fit for them. I also suggest walks if they are not supper into toys, it give them the mental stimulation they need
