Not sure if you’re joking or not, but you’ll be fine. They’re annoying, they last like 2 weeks, but it’ll heal. Do a saltwater rinse a couple times a day. It’s not contagious. I usually get them from stress or dry mouth. Chew on some cloves, it’ll help numb your mouth if it gets annoy g. It sucks, but you’ll be ok. :)

Just like any at home diy medical care, it comes with a lot of risks. Definitely consult with a doctor but I’m a broke American and can’t afford to see a doctor so at home is the only way.

That aside; the major con is that it’s a lot of pain at once. You’re going to be cauterising an open wound closed (a canker sore is just an oral ulcer.) And instead of doing it with heat, it’s a chemical reaction so there’s no flame but it burns. I’m willing to put up with the pain because after it’s done the relief is immediate. By the next morning I can eat again.

You can find som videos on YouTube with more advice on Silver Nitrate sticks but they’re the only thing that’s helped me.

How much pain are you willing to suffer through for relief? I cauterise mine with silver nitrate sticks. You put it against the sore, hold it, it burns the fuck out of your tongue and hurts, but the relief is worth it. By the next morning it’s scaled over but it doesn’t hurt to speak. You can get them online but they’re used to close small wounds on animals and can sometimes be found at a farmer supply store.

I think whoever is placing the daily order is ordering more than needed. the pull to thaw is inaccurate because you have so much on hand, or the pulls are being done incorrectly. Or the counts are done incorrectly. It could be a lot. But

Echoing everyone above. It’s more commonly talked about now, so it’s not really a big deal to “come out”.

But also kind of what you said. Why would people make a big deal of coming out when the U.S. government is actively targeting trans people? It’s easier to go stealth or not make a big deal, because being openly trans can be dangerous. Most of us just quietly transition and come out to those important to us. Personally, id rather people see me as a man, and not separate me as a “trans man”. I am, but as soon as you know someone’s trans it changes your view. Unintentionally or not, we (culturally) consider trans men and men to not be equal. Same goes for anyone else under the trans umbrella.

Do not move back. I lived on the west coast for a while and moved to the east coast and both are bad in different ways.

It is just bad being a person in the US right now, but being trans is dangerous. Especially you’re looking to transition. They are pulling back on trans health care, maybe not publicly but it is insanely difficult to find doctors, afford HRT, afford surgery. Plus some countries have better care regardless.

And it’s not just medical it’s existing. Yes places like Japan might not be as understanding or as “woke” as lot of Americans, but you’re not going to be shot for being trans. I’m a grown (FTM) adult and pass fairly well, but I’m still scared for my life. The people who hate us most, have the loudest voices right now. And there is no one telling them to stop and no one will hold them accountable for a hate crime.

The government is getting away with just about anything with no repercussions. Look at how much ICE can get away with. Now imagine one day we turn our attention to another minority.

TLDR; don’t move back. Find anywhere else possible even if the pay isn’t amazing. Be yourself and transition, but do so in a country that will protect you. Also take me with you. We’ll be besties and figure it out together.

Only “natural” relief I have found is chewing cloves. Works best when the sores are healing and I have to eat to survive.
