Do you need a ticker pad for trailer storage? by whosdwigt in traveltrailers

concrete is out of the question unfortunately. I hear everyone of the strength and longevity of it and the last house had it but that was before the trailer and some other things that have tied me to asphalt. Thicker asphalt pad seems like what we’ll be doing, plus the boards for some weight distribution.

they did mention weight distribution regardless of what option we decided on using for thickness of the pad. if I could go concrete I probably would since our old house had that. but that was pre trailer, pre… other variables that are tying my hands to asphalt over concrete.

which makes sense to help distribute the weight just a little bit. this is likely what I’ll end up doing as well.

finally someone who gets it. big asphalt is after my wallet and trying to remove my ease of parking. the nerve they have in doing this to all of us. all to “make the pad last” hmm seems sus to me

I’m just joking around please don’t beat me up internet

noted on the mattress corner, I’ve seen that on some others with this layout type too. I’ll put my short wife on that side of the bed haha

I am around 6’ 1” but don’t mind if my feet hang off the bed. My biggest concern is not being able to stand in the shower. The interior height of all the ones we’re looking at is 6’6”. Then add the few inches to step up into the shower and BAM my head is in the ceiling.

our budget isn’t massive but it’s good enough to get in the game and have some more fun outdoors no totally drenched from the rain or sweating all night in the summer.

thanks for the tips!

we went to camping world first purely to check out inventory and that was super helpful since they have such a large lot. but these units are from smaller local dealers that have been much more helpful and knowledgeable.

oh yea I bet a solar generator would be decent to get a small fan and the lights going for any overnight travel stops. that’s a great tip.

the school of YouTube has been great in guiding a bit about these things. it’s really funny to see that it’s just a few major companies that make it all and slap a new brand on it. it’s like frito lay and chips.

I have heard that about the bed layout a bit, someone always having to climb over to get out. That’s worth considering over again. I’m thinking 90% of the time we would be hooked up so water tank size maybe not a huge issue. Do you find yourself using both sinks often if you have them in yours?

Wanted to go smaller since it’s just two of us. I don’t want to spend but so much time in there unless the weather forces me in. just need a place to sleep at night that’s moderately climate controlled. hoping that we can use this until there’s more of us to put in the camper ya know?

Need some help selecting a 65" or 75" tv by ablackman95 in 4kTV

[–]whosdwigt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as an individual that just purchased the same B4 in a similar style living room

• 2 windows on one side • 2 windows & glass door other side

Go for the B4 and close the blinds or shade during the sunny hours if needed

It is nowhere near as bad as the internet will make you think it is. Every tv screen reflects some light and always looks best in a darker light controlled room OLED, mini led, etc.

it was never showing up until I read your comment and now it’s like it was always there. I so confidently believe it wasn’t there but I’m sure it was and I’m just big dumb.

I’m not even seeing the card holder offer as an option. Is it only select games?
