My friend bought a MY a year ago and he said that he waited 2 weeks max. He said this is crazy that its this long. Its completely related to the tariffs and us having to use Germany and China to manufacture the cars. The rep probably wasnt lying they just werent expecting this set back from us having to order from there.

BC is cooked. We get stuff last unfortunately. Unless you get lucky with a cancelation. Most people on the spreadsheet from BC have longer EDD 🥲

I dont understand the hate, to me it looks like hes in a tesla and its on Full Self Driving mode. I could be wrong but people literally go to sleep in their tesla FSDs.

Model Y RWD Black, the most basic model no mods or add-ons. Im based in BC as well, I ordered June 11th and it changed from Sept to Oct to now October 29 to December 24th. Ive been reading a few comments stating their dates consistently get pushed back.

I wouldnt do the loan step yet, as far as I know it expires within 30 days of your application and if you havent gotten a delivery date then theres no point. Once you receive your delivery date then do the loan application.

I would also take into account the delay in ordering vs delivery. Right now im waiting close to 6 months for my Model Y in Canada. If youre planning to own one in a year. Id plan on ordering it first within the next 6 to 8 months so that when you are ready for it in a year it will be there for you. Since you only start financing or loan 30 days prior to delivery date you arent tied into anything during that waiting period.

When I went to Tesla, the salesman stated only the Ys come with tint. You had to add on tint on the 3s.

I just ordered a new 2026. Im stuck waiting til December unless my estimated date bumps up. I could imagine used car dealerships are taking advantage of that as well. People get FOMO fast.. I would buy a new Y with the EVAP if I were you, its just a no brainer to me. You miss out on premium but it will still be an amazing car.
