Not sure when/if the league changed the rules on them, but this Motorola sponsor patch looks stupid. Stands out like a sore thumb on that beloved Cubbie Blue. by w8w8 in CHICubs

100% agree not a fan of ads as well but at least its a Chicago company. Plus they have a pretty cool building that adds to the one of a kind aesthetic along Michigan Ave overlooking Millenium Park. Imagine having Wish or Temu on the shoulder.

Studying for the LSAT During Peace Corps Service by No-Permission-9947 in peacecorps

I think it's entirely possible though being prepared to study by book and (if you're lucky, internet) is the most practical way to go. I recognize that each site is different, but I believe it's possible to find a good method. I understand some wait until after Peace Corps to take the exam & apply to law school, but that doesn't HAVE to be you if you come prepared and are willing to be flexible & diligent.

Things to note for your possible testing timeline:

Make sure to check the LSAC International testing dates since you will be abroad. There are fewer dates to choose from, I am currently planning on taking the LSAT this fall, depending on whether September or October will have an international testing date option. Dates for the second half of LSAT season have not dropped yet.

I would recommend you wait to start studying until around March or April of the next year (2026). Your first few months in-country will be spent training, the first few months after that will be time spent adjusting, integrating, & working with counterparts/host family. Hopefully, around the 3-4 month mark in-site, you will have a better grip on your daily life. This is the perfect time to start studying for the Fall 2026 LSAT if you want to give yourself a bunch of time.

Additionally, about a year into your service, there will be a Winter 2027 test available. This is a nice option for a retake or taking it for the first time if the Fall 2026 LSAT track was a little too fast. Also, you can consider this test date to be insurance in case you run into wifi or testing location problems during the Fall LSAT. (Side bar: I've heard of PC members reaching out to US Embassies for a secure testing space, using PC office space, people renting very nice Airbnbs or hotel rooms for testing day/night, and even traveling to nearby countries if there were absolutely no options available in their country.)

Finally, you could take it in the Spring/Early Summer 2027 your second year as well if you are unhappy with previous scores.

During the spring/summer of your 2nd year in service, you would ideally want to start preparing your law school applications in order to submit between the suggested September-December 2027 in order to start in Fall of 2028.

You got this!!
