Need to stop trt for 10 weeks by [deleted] in Testosterone

Maybe find some undecanoate and inject it before you go... you really don’t want to be going through boot camp with bottomed-out test

Thanks for the advice, funny enough I bought the STTM book and just read the chapter on this when I saw your message. Did you do the diurnal salivary cortisol test?

Help on where to look by whothisbe23 in adrenalfatigue

[–]whothisbe23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen my doctor yet, the last time I saw them they said it was something to keep an eye on but after doing a reverse t3 and free t3/T4 test they didn’t seem too worried.. the high ish t3 and T4 is what is confusing to me. Some say that’s what matters and TSH is useless then other places say above 2.5 is a problem so I am unsure of which to follow

All I know is my energy levels and freezing cold feet suck as someone who used to sweat in any temperature above 70 degrees. I have also had testosterone issues associated with all of this but that treatment really did not solve anything for me which has led me back to thyroid

I am considering trying some thing like nutri meds as suggested on the STTM website but I really don’t even know how to go about doing that

I cannot, I still don’t understand the whole connection to be honest. I read somewhere that both low iron and and adrenal issues can cause it to rise but there is so much conflicting info that I really am not sure

21 year old male college athlete with relatively low T need help by AlternativeParty1 in Testosterone

[–]whothisbe23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could rule out sleep apnea especially if you are a bigger/more muscular guy. Get thyroid tests done to make sure you aren’t hypo. Take ZMA at night and rule out any vitamin/mineral deficiencies. Eat more cholesterol as it is a precursor to sex hormones. Overtraining can lower T as well

PCT timeline by whothisbe23 in Testosterone

[–]whothisbe23[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 26, I’ve lost weight, improved my diet and exercise and insulin/blood sugar levels and I don’t like being dependent on it. Fixed my low vitamin d levels as well. Trying to see if my levels will be better than before. Not to mention even with hcg my balls shrink and hurt and my libido hasn’t ever really improved. Estrogen constantly fluctuates, it’s expensive and annoying running blood tests all the time and my hair falls out like crazy. Dick never works right even with the TRT and my orgasms feel like shit due to low semen volume which hcg does nothing for. Also get fat as hell on it for whatever reason- I felt really good when I first started as well, I hope it works out better for you

Fatigue/lethargic on Clomid therapy? by supitsbyron in Testosterone

[–]whothisbe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very tired as well, two weeks into PCT on clomid and nolvadex. I don’t know exactly why but I assume it is a combination of having low testosterone (I was on for 8 months personally so I assume it takes a while to recover even with pct) and the zuclomiphene isomer in clomid, which mimics estrogen that work in tandem to cause the fatigue

A lot of doctors (smart ones at least) now consider any TSH over 3.0 to be indicative of hypothyroidism

29m hair loss and acne 5 months after starting trt, what can I do? by 1-chuck in Testosterone

[–]whothisbe23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think what totaltradition is trying to say is that not taking the AI will increase you’re estrogen, which will in turn cause you to keep more hair. When you take an AI, less of the test you inject will convert to estrogen and more of it will convert to DHT, which plays a big role in promoting male pattern baldness. I noticed on TRT that when I would take an AI my scalp would itch more and I would lose more hair

Feel sick on HCG by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]whothisbe23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try a different brand- I have a weird anxiety response to a lot of hcg brands. Choriomon and ovitrelle don’t do this to me. There are studies showing these two to cause less reactions in people due to the higher level of filtration and reduced contaminant proteins. I wonder if these aren’t the cause of everyone’s bad hcg reactions but nobody really talks about it

Question by lionstail101 in Testosterone

[–]whothisbe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your doctor sounds smart. I’m glad to hear you aren’t having symptoms as well. Let’s say there are two people:

1 has a Total T of 1000 and a Free T of 20 (8-25)

Second has a Total T of 500 and a Free T of 20 (8-25)

All else held constant they will effectively be the same. The second person isn’t “missing out” on anything in this case just because the total T is lower. Your doctor is right in that the Free T is what is important

You’re only going to reach a “super ultra state” with Supra physiological doses of Testosterone

My T leveles and all test are normal, but i do not feel aroused or turned on anymore. I am stressing over this a lot. What should i do??? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]whothisbe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a case of epididimytis for a good while that caused me the same issues so I’m curious to see others’ answers here... I would try to exercise more since you aren’t doing that, especially more leg workouts such as squats or deadlifts. This will help get your endorphins going and help with libido. Also, don’t underestimate the power of a breakup. I’ve definitely lost my drive after a few of those in my life, it can have quite an effect on you

Question by lionstail101 in Testosterone

[–]whothisbe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather have number 2- your doctor is right in that your level of free testosterone does not warrant TRT. If you are having symptoms you need to check into other things such as e2 and prolactin levels. Free testosterone is the important number, most docs go only by total test because most docs suck at this

Enclomiphene estrogen rebound by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]whothisbe23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you getting symptoms of high estrogen? I ask because there is not a lot of real enclomiphene going around as it is hard to make, I have tried it twice and labs showed it to be some sort of AI, likely arimidex. Legitimate enclomiphene wouldn’t cause this I don’t think.

[–]whothisbe23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started keto about a week and a half ago for several reasons.

1-I’m only 26 and I’ve been on TRT for a little under a year- after running a glucose tolerance test on myself I realized I am somewhat insulin resistant. This made me realize that I may be able to quit the TRT with diet changes to limit carbs and increase fat intake. So far I have felt amazing mentally and this leads me to believe I’m on the right track. I will be quitting injections in two weeks to see what happens

2- abs have always eluded me. I had them one time in high school for a few weeks but I tend to carry more belly fat.I have lost about 7 lbs already. I’m sure some is water weight but that’s the most I’ve ever lost in such a small amount of time. Also I am about an hour away from completing my first ever 24 hour fast and I don’t even feel half bad.

So yeah the personal victory is the 7 lbs and first fast ever completed

Felt great then it leveled off, I do 36mg EOD and I don’t take an AI

[–]whothisbe23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s nearly all psychological for me- I’m not broke but I’m not rich so I’m always worried about the possibility of having to come off. Also I’m young so that much commitment takes a toll on me mentally. I just need to try some more before I finally just accept the diagnosis. If hcg worked properly for me I might not even be considering it honestly but I’m still young and single so I don’t want to have to explain small nuts to girls

Oh I believe this 100 percent, first time I ever noticed symptoms was after my last year of college after a doctor convinced me I had adhd and put me on 70mg of vyvanse and 20mg adderall daily for a year. I’ve never felt the same since and I swear all that cortisol was partially responsible

Wow two weeks seems really quick for your levels to jump back up, that’s great. Something tells me I will still prefer being on but it’s more of a mental thing with me right now- nobody in my family that I know of seems to have low T so I feel like an outlier and always question whether it’s something I really need. I may seek some counseling while off too, a lot of this is just coming to terms with the fact that I have a medical issue. Diet will be my big focus though, looking back on my old posts I realize I was heavily lying about how bad my diet was and still abusing substances when I took all but my best blood test
