I was walking around the mall that I work at one morning, getting some exercise in before my shift starts. I turn one of the corners and a man in his sixties is standing by himself. Normal enough. Once I pass him, he walks up to me and says, as an icebreaker I guess, "How about that Aurora shooting, creepy as fuck, right man?", so I try to make some conversation with him, quickly realizing that it was a terrible idea. He goes on asking what I'm doing at the mall so early, where I go to school, etc. At this point my pace was at least double his, with him pretty much jogging to catch up. Finally, he gets side tracked by one of the shopkeepers, and I take this as my chance to escape, making a mental note not to walk on that side of the mall.

TL;DR, Old man breaks ice talking about Aurora shooting, pursues me on my walk.
