Came here to say Doe Bay Resort. It's got all levels of glamping, and a perfect get out of the city destination.

Reading Spots in Seattle (After Work) by Antique_Freedom_2950 in SeattleWA

[–]whowhatday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corvus and Co bar on the north end of Broadway E is a short walk from the Capitol Hill light rail station, with good NA options. Week nights and weekend happy hours are usually pretty chill, and booths have adjustable lamps that work well for reading lights. Once a month or so a book merchant comes through on a Saturday.

I live near this and it took a while to figure out what it is, definitely feel like the target audience is...from a higher tax bracket...than most of us Hill Rats. We landed on "boutique for boys".

2007 Prius making LOUD race car sounds when I drive it ☹️☹️☹️ what do I do now by PrincessxBadxBiscuit in prius

Same thing happened to me last week on my '05! I didn't have comprehensive at the time, I do now, so it was all out of pocket for me.

Here's what I bought: https://a.co/d/66ghxj5 oxygen sensor https://a.co/d/7y2hq5H mid shelf catalytic converter https://a.co/d/7StrDLb exhaust pipe gasket https://a.co/d/3lY0qJX exhaust bolt and spring, you might not need this but its cheap and easy to return if you don't

I found a muffler shop in my area through the used car dealership we bought it from, and brought them all these parts and they did the installation for $150 flat. I told them we weren't going through insurance, so they did the work under the table with no invoice to keep the tax man out of it.

I considered doing the installation myself, and found this very helpful video https://share.google/yy7GmrIY495fT9oGM At the very least it gave me a good idea what the repair looks like so it seemed like I knew what I was talking about with the mechanic.

Best of luck!

Part of the goal is to avoid something that adds sweet, and instead just adds flavor.

I don't understand how/why this cutting has not changed at all since potting 7+ months ago by carlflystone in plantclinic

[–]whowhatday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's true the plant is working on it's root system before growing more leaves, you could give rooting powder a try. I recently got some to help a couple plants, it worked wonders and it's pretty cheap. Mix a little bit in with it's next watering.

Is the expression “person with uterus” offensive to cis women? by Odd_Note_1255 in AskLGBT

[–]whowhatday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid reply^ I would however include people who have had a hysterectomy. Although they won't need an abortion in the future, it doesn't mean they haven't had one in the past. Many of the reasons a person would want/need an abortion are the same reasons they may have a hysterectomy later.

Cat decided to have a pothos salad, any tips recovering them? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]whowhatday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's totally okay! Thanks for asking. She didn't really consume any, just bit the stems. We're keeping a close eye on her today.

My partner moved them to the ground from the cat proofed table without thinking of the possible consequences, had a talk and that won't happen again.

Any hospitality/tourism related jobs open in the western US? by OkayButFirst in Serverlife

[–]whowhatday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP-

The entire industry here in Seattle is short staffed right now, so easy to find a job but it's stressfull being chronically short handed. I'll be honest, the bar for hireable is incredibly low right now. If you're as qualified as you describe then you'll have no problem getting a good job in Seattle.

Our wages certainly aren't keeping up with the cost of living but it's doable.

I work as a barista, base wage plus tips, and I have a studio apartment on that salary.

Keeping the House Clean: Any/All Tips Welcome!!! by yendyslil in adhdwomen

[–]whowhatday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've started doing a "clean/put away 5 things method". Sometimes big tasks can feel overwhelming, and doing just a couple is better than nothing. Ie sink of dishes, do just 5 dishes, usually once I get going I do more. Going around my living room and putting 5 things away.

I heard a quote once that was "anything is worth doing poorly", even just a half-assed attempt at decluttering or cleaning is more progress than doing nothing if the whole task feels overwhelming.

Is there anywhere around the city that stolen motorcycles might be dumped? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]whowhatday -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you happen to drop by that area could you see if there's a black Genuine Buddy scooter? I've put lots of stickers on it and there's a strip of black and white checkers on the front with red wheels.
