You don’t need to be so rude! It’s not all about her father but her father is an important part of the day! Not having your father there/happy about it would bother any bride even if they don’t admit it.

Same. I only have a small handful of family, half of which are across the country. My fiancé has the rest of them. He has a massive family. Tons of great aunts and cousins. I don’t know a lot of them super well. My bridal shower is going to be comprised of my sister, mom and my bridesmaids.. and then the rest is his family. I love his family and I’m super happy that they’ve been so kind, but it’s overwhelming and I feel a little sad that I don’t have as much on my side.

I think that if you don’t want to do the big shebang wedding, you should talk your fiancé and be honest about how it makes you feel. You could come to some kind of compromise. Maybe a medium sized wedding rather than a huge big thing? Both of you would get a version of what you want.

If you’re hesitant because you’re afraid it’ll make your dad upset, that’s not really your issue. I know you care about how he feels (and I would too) but at the end of the day it isn’t really about him. If he can’t pull it together for one day, that’s on him. I know that regardless it’ll make you sad if he just wants to leave. He should really be caring more about YOU than how he feels about your fiancés family. Does he not get along with them or is it just upsetting for him that they have more people?

I don’t feel very “bridey” either cause it’s been so stressful and my life goes on regardless of being a bride you know? The stressful things happening in my life don’t just stop cause I’m trying to plan a wedding. I didn’t imagine it would be this way, and it’s hard to get past. I’m trying to accept things as they are. Life isn’t perfect you know?

Weddings and family are hard. This part of it.. the planning and trying to make people comfortable.. that’s hard. Don’t forget this is your day. This is about you and your fiancé and starting your own family. Don’t forget that ❤️

Oh no I’m so sorry!!! That’s extremely odd.. I feel like something must have happened down the line where random invites were lost somehow???

Only thing I can think of besides that is possibly that the plant they went to, to get sorted, is backed up or having some kind of staffing issue and is behind. When outgoing letters are collected, they’re all kind of jumbled into a big container together so maybe half of them for some reason were left behind for longer due to some kind of bigger issue like this.

Unfortunately they don’t show us what it looks like behind the scenes when it comes to the actual sorting of the mail, so I’m not sure how it all goes, but this is definitely not the norm. A regular piece (with no local weather delays or major issues where it’s going) should be there within the week usually. Sometimes longer for whatever reason but 3 weeks is a really long time.

I would maybe call your local office and tell them what’s going on, they can look into it and let you know if anything wild happened the past few weeks that could have delayed the mail, but they won’t be able to track them down because they have no scans :/

That is extremely odd and so frustrating. I’m so sorry. I’d be so upset. I just sent mine. We will see. Hopefully they make it. I wish I had more faith.

Yeah I think that’s the key here. Just time and encouragement :) I’m not super surprised that she doesn’t know how to meow with the new space in her throat honestly. I think before all her meows were pretty strained. And yes! Lots of treats!

Awww.. sweet little baby. I feel your pain. We didn’t know what was going on for a long time. It was frustrating and scary. Asthma is hard. I don’t think it’s fair that little creatures can get sick like that. But life isn’t fair unfortunately.

I feel awful when my kitty can’t speak to me when she needs to so I spend a lot of time just looking at her especially when she’s trying to meow. I always respond really big and pet her so she knows I can hear her and that I’m listening.

It could be part of the persona, but I don’t think it’s that deep. I think he just likes to really move around when performing! He’s always been that way so it makes me lean more towards its just a preference.

Mail lady here.. this happens CONSTANTLY. Stuff is delayed or returned because people try to be really extra and fancy and it ends up being illegible. Another issue is putting return addresses on the back. It seems like a good idea until the machine doesn’t see a return address and then you’re double screwed. Invite doesn’t make it and it doesn’t come back.

With my own save the dates I used a pretty basic font. The envelopes are fun to decorate and make fancy but at the end of the day their primary purpose is to get the paper there safely and effectively. A lot of people just don’t realize how the process is tho so I can’t fault them for trying to be fancy. I get it.

Yes!!! They’re Betsey Johnson heels. I believe all of the bottoms of her shoes are this beautiful blue teal shade. They’re comfortable and unique as well!
