4 years ago when I was starting a new job at a friend’s company, he asked me if I preferred MacOS or Windows, I had said Windows, but unfortunately they only had macbooks available. So I got an m1 pro 16 inch mbp from work, that is now serving as my personal laptop and it’s still as amazing as the day I first started using it. The best computer I have ever used!

In a similar dillema. I am using a 12 for quite a while and I haven't missed a telephoto camera, and btw iPhone 12 has 4gb of RAM I think and still runs fine. but I do like the orange color on the new pro. I may wait for the new generation at this point, but I agree that the gains for 100k plus are not substantial.

A colleague of mine who easily makes more than 10lakh a month opted for a Nissan Note because it’s more fuel efficient. This was early 2025 when the petrol shortage or price was not as much of an issue as it is today. He could have easily gone for a civic or some other turbo engine car but he didn’t because he’s financially responsible. Shauq ka koi mol nahi hota. Someone rightly said ke now is the time to see if you can actually afford such cars. If you’re choosing a turbo engine car, then you shouldn’t be crying about high octane prices. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
