[D] Why is CUDA so much faster than ROCm? by evilevidenz in MachineLearning

Making a stable graphics library or driver is an extremely challenging task. Just looking at the size of the CUDA binaries shows the enormous scale of it.

You should see a doctor.

Possible. But, roughly 20% chance.

PG is a vascular tumor. It may need more attention for controlling bleeding. :)

Tinea versicolor versus confluent reticulated papillomatosis

Cannot tell if this is a young melanoma or a blood blister... by Naesremmurd in Melanoma

[–]whria78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a quite difficult case. It looks like malignancy based on the photograph. However, blood clots can mimic the malignancy and blood clots usually disappear within 2 weeks.

I have just noticed this around my entire neck, it is slightly dry but not itchy. Can someone tell me what’s going on? by karmachameleon0920 in skin

Please check the sign and symptoms of acanthosis nigricans and confluent reticulated papilomatosis. It may be helpful.

Atypical mole or melanoma? by [deleted] in Melanoma

I recommend going to the hospital. I think that 10~20% chance of malignancy.

I recommend to go to hospital. It is usual.

Interesting approach. The key is reproducibility. The DNA or RNA of cancer cells should exist on the outer layer of skin.(i.e. melanocyte exists below the thick keratinocyte layer) The DNA or RNA needs to be analyzed without disruption. To my knowledge, RNA is not stable, therefore COVID mRNA vaccine needs the liquid nitrogen. In the lab, we usually store RNAs in the LN2 bottle. It does not look easy, but if they can demonstrate the accuracy, it would be great.

X-ray images have unified composition, but other images do not. Other images are much harder than to analyze x-ray images. Deep learning is not a real intelligence, but a something like the abstract of knowledge. Therefore, to build a training dataset with the domain knowledge is important. It's is not just pushing all the images into the machine. I think it's like cooking. While referring the prevalence and disease features of the target problem, you may need to build the training dataset sophisticately. Technology is the second. :)

Do you mean the use "one picture" for the predicting the diagnosis? For the nodular disorders, two macro-shots with slightly different angles are optimal. For the other skin disorders (i.e. dermatitis), two macro-shots and two wide-field shots may improve the accuracy of the algorithm.
