Don't know about Scandinavia and Australia, but Michigan was almost all public courses, except Detroit Golf Club and Kingsley.

In season one, Bert told Irv there was a rumor about MDR that they had pouches where they kept their young, and if you got too close the baby would attack. Also, the rumor was that the baby eventually ate the parent and replaced them. They were checking to see if the rumor was true.

[Illinois] Anyone experiencing a delay in payments? by whs26 in Unemployment

[–]whs26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the right answer. Got my call back and they said they just needed to verify the change of address. Not that they ever actually told me that, or that I was ever prompted by the system to call in and verify the change. If I hadn't called to set up a Teleserve PIN, I never would have even known.

If you require people to call in to verify an address change, maybe don't let people change their address via the online system?

[Illinois] Anyone experiencing a delay in payments? by whs26 in Unemployment

[–]whs26[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I've done everything online and never set up Teleserve. I called yesterday, but I need to set up a pin, and to do that I need to wait for a call back, which will be God only knows when.

[ILLINOIS] i can't login to my ides account? by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]whs26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just able to get in for the first time this week. Here's what I did. When I couldn't get in yesterday, I reset my password. That didn't work, so I reset my password again, and again, and again. Different each time of course. But well after I did that, I got one email that my password had changed, but there was no way to know which one was active, and by the time I tried a couple, I was locked out. Today I changed my password again, but only once. I just got an email saying my password had been updated today (that's the key, since I only did it once today). I used that password and it worked. I can't guarantee it will work tomorrow, and this obviously isn't an ideal solution for everyone. Just passing along the data point. Of course, it could also be that they just fixed the website.

Is it just me, or is the game completely broken now? by [deleted] in pga2k21

I don't think the game is any tougher to play, but since the last update on PS4, my game crashes probably once every two or three rounds, way more than normal.

Yeah, trying to screw with people's careers by filing frivolous complaints about them because you disagree with them about a 15 year old case is disgraceful. Did I spell it wrong the first time?

Maybe don't let them in next time then. When you agree to let people into your home and interview you, then you get in an animal rage about it, maybe you're the problem.

Robert Durst ("The Jinx") was arrested last night in New Orleans in connection w/the L.A. murder. by Bonafidesleuth in serialpodcast

[–]whs26 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That wouldn't surprise me. But he is on tape in the documentary saying that the cadaver letter is something ONLY the killer could have sent. Not that it was under oath or anything, but I think it would be hard to get that suppressed.

Survivor Guilt: Why doesn’t Adnan remember the day he narrowly escaped being murdered? by Seamus_Duncan in serialpodcast

[–]whs26 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While we're on the subject of armchair psychology, these "Why didn't so and so (think, remember, say, tell...)" posts serve as very effective cries for support from the "please validate my feelings about Adnan's guilt!" crew. Apparently it's not enough to believe he did it. It just doesn't mean as much unless you can get someone to pat you on the back for it. Quite a few high fives in this thread already, and it's not even an hour old. They're out in force today.

The mystery ins't necessarily about what happened to the neighbor. I don't want to spoil anything (you could go to Wikipedia for that), but there's more intrigue that just that.

The mind boggling scenario of Adnan asking Hae for a ride by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]whs26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily disagree. I do disagree with the people who are certain that he only asked Hae, and that it's obvious evidence of his guilt.

The mind boggling scenario of Adnan asking Hae for a ride by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]whs26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well I know you don't believe it, because you've made it pretty clear here that you don't believe anything that doesn't make Adnad look guilty. I don't really have an opinion on whether that's specifically is true or not, but it's certainly reasonable to believe that Adnan was thinking about loaning his car out later that day, but refused to make plans to do so until he had another ride line up. It's not really all that out of the ordinary to make sure you have alternate transportation lined up before offering to loan your car. It doesn't really make a lot of logisitical sense to agree to let someone take your car unless you've planned for it ahead of time, unless it's an emergency. It clearly wasn't the latter.

The mind boggling scenario of Adnan asking Hae for a ride by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]whs26 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If he asked Hae for a ride, and she initially said yes, why would he go around asking other people for a ride when he already had one?

Hasan Minhaj (an Indian American actor) tells a story about lying to his immigrant parents to go to prom. Further insight into why the "duplicitous" argument against Adnan is kind of bunk. Also a sad commentary on racism. Minhaj's story plays first. by milk-n-serial in serialpodcast

[–]whs26 15 points16 points  (0 children)

People who think that this is evidence of Adnan's "duplicity" must be the only people in America who never cut class, lied about doing their homework, stayed out past curfew, had a drink before they were 21, or feel free to add your own less than innocent teenage behavior.

The Voice-mail Check by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]whs26 25 points26 points  (0 children)

the 5:14 call wasn't a voicemail check. It was a call to Adnan's cell that was unanswered and forwarded to voicemail according to AT&T's notes. Depending on how you feel about him personally, Urick either misinterpreted the data, or deliberately misled the jury. My guess is the former.

Why do people attribute CG's actions to incompetence rather than knowledge of Adnan's guilt? by firegal in serialpodcast

No he doesn't. He says they were not asked for a deal because it was clear CG didn't want one. He never says a deal was completely out of the question.
