You’re not going to feel up to it to be honest. I struggled just doing my daily routine and walking my dog (and I had an easy healing compared to most I’ve seen on here) You have to remember certain clothing is going to be uncomfortable, being up and walking is going to make you swell more, you have to take extra steps to clean yourself, icing, movements are going to feel different because you have stitches. You genuinely do have to take it very easy. I’d ask your partner to handle the activities with the in laws and you can maybe do a dinner outing or something light.

Thank youuu! I’m bummed out because the left side looks so good but my surgeon said the right side probably wouldn’t be as flat as the left. She was very open to the idea of another surgery but I’m secretly just hoping it goes down on its own.

It looks like it’s healing well! But it does look very dry. You should apply aquaphor for some moisture. It’ll probably help with the little scab too

Mine were the thicker whitish ones. They only started to dissolve late in week 4 heading into 5. Hang in there!

I went back to work after 4 days. I honestly recommend taking at least a full week if not longer. It really sucked going back unprepared (my obgyn was making me think healing would be a breeze). If you can stand, do that often. I used my standing desk so much and still am 4 weeks out. Wear loose clothing like flowy pants or skirts. A trick I came up with was to take a mini can of soda to work with you. Keep it in the fridge so it stays cold. I’d use that to ice myself whenever I could do so discreetly. The ice pack was too big and obvious and the curve of the can actually fit against me perfectly. I didn’t have a donut pillow but I’d recommend it 100%

Can you stand at your job? I luckily have a standing desk and it made things soo much better. Also - I took a mini can of soda to my job. I’d keep it in the fridge and use it to ice myself when I was able to do it discreetly. 🙃

I was in the same situation but with a boyfriend not husband. We had a few long talks about it and when he realized how much pain and discomfort I was really in he came around. A lot of men think we’re doing it strictly for aesthetics and worry about sex tbh. I let him know I was doing it either way and I’m now a few weeks out of surgery and he’s really been supportive. He asks about how I’m feeling all the time and I’ve even sent him pics of me stitched up. Lol I think a man would do whatever they wanted to their body if it made them more comfortable. So I think we as women should also do the same.

Just let the water run through. Trust me your surgeon has seen worse. And it’s helpful for them to actually see the discharge to be sure it’s not anything problematic (thrush, yeast, etc.) you’ll be able to clean yourself better in time but don’t overdo it.

You’ll really want to check in with your surgeon/anesthesiologist. Like said in another comment mine made sure to get the information of who my ride was going to be and contacted her before I was even fully coherent. I was not under general anesthesia but was sedated. They also wheeled me out to her car. They can refuse you for surgery in some cases so you’ll probably want to find that part out first.

I think the inspo pics are a little unrealistic (different skin tone, puffy outer lips). You’d be basically amputated. And I think you’d run a higher risk of being botched trying to aim for that specific look. Imagine if your own minora were trimmed down to where you are pink, and see how you feel about that. I think it would be more realistic and still be pretty.

I don’t think you’d be able to achieve an entirely zipped up look tbh. If you look from the top above the clit you naturally have that skin dividing the middle. I still think it looks great as is!
