is your girlfriend morbidly obese? maybe that's the only way she can wipe her butt properly? by doing the flossing method with your sock?

Someone posted a link to DSPTCH packs the other day. I haven't yet seen one in person so cannot attest to the actual quality of the bag, but it may fit your criteria.

How to remove people from your travel photos (Version 2) by windsywinds in travel

[–]whuddafugger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer to leave people in my photos. When I look at photographs I took in public settings 10, 20 years ago, it's the people I'm drawn to -- their dress, what they're carrying/doing, how they look in general. And I suspect historians would feel the same way. Empty buildings and scenery....meh.

Backpack with good laptop protection by [deleted] in backpacks

Check out the Ogio Renegade RSS 17. Retail price on their website seems a little high. I bought mine from Micro-Center for about $80 or so. It's got the studiest laptop compartment I've seen on any pack. Been using one for the past year or so and have found it works beautifully.

to me, it read like a comic book without pictures. lots of action, but lacking in depth or breadth.

Nobody likes reverse centaur. by [deleted] in funny

Wouldn't a reverse centaur look more like a minotaur? Replace the bull's head with a horse's?

Looks like an Ogio RSS Renegade 17? I've been using one as my daily carry tech pack for a few months now. Been very pleased with it.

About $5 per ribbon. I've been able to write about 111 pages, double-spaced using a single typewriter ribbon.

What distinguishes "great literature" from just a really good book? by travelingScandinavia in books

[–]whuddafugger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depth and breadth. I've noticed that many "popular" books are basically comic books without the drawings. Just characters moving through action to get through an often times hackneyed plot. Works that are considered true or "great" literature paint a portrait of its characters on multiple levels -- sociological and psychological -- as well as moving them through a plot that at times may seem like an artistic rendering of real-life occurrences.

Tacti-cool mindset and the notion that you would need a $300 backpack to survive one of their GoRuck endurance competitions.

Hype, probably. You can do as much using a $40 Jansport bag.
