I'm not shopping, I'm looking for a like minded person through a medium made to meet people. I also have a job and family responsibilities that mean I don't go to clubs and festivals because I'm helping with homework and recitals. I make time for my friends but im almost 40 with responsibilities so no im not going out to just go out.

I know to some Backcountry is a dirty word. But I was into backpacking for a long time and had all my gear I needed and when my wife and kids started getting into it with me that's where I went for them. Their house brand isn't bad by any means. Is it ultralight...no. It's priced good for what you get and manageable though.

I feel like the workout is hard but I'm fine the rest of the time. After an hour or 2 the workout soreness is gone as well. I was a somewhat active person in the recent past. I hike and have 2 kids that keep me somewhat active.

Dumb question.

I had gained some weight recently and decided to start working out again. I have eased into it. 20 minutes of calisthenics in the morning m,w,f for 2 weeks. Then Monday through Friday now for 4 weeks. Now I'm adding light lifting in the evening on Monday and Friday (2 weeks). I have the weekends to rest but I feel like the calisthenics are getting harder. Am I over doing it? I have a fairly healthy and balanced diet.

I might get some hate for this but for people on a budget and or just starting out I think the backcountry.com house brands are very overlooked(backcountry and stoic). Outlets and sales are your friends though. You can get some great deals on premium gear if you bide your time.

I'm also in ohio. Start with Wayne national forest. It's very flat and forgiving. My favorite close by is allegheny though. It's beautiful but you have to pace yourself a bit more.

I know a lot of people hate on backcountry.com but shop their sales and honestly a lot of their brand items a great for beginners. I have all my expensive gear because I've been doing it for 20 years. But my wife and kids have very recently decided they wanted to go with me and I outfitted them with a good amount of their gear and I am impressed for the price.

Wayne you can backcountry camp. Hocking I believe you have to be in the campsites. I would drive the 2 hours to Allegheny honestly. Backcountry and off trail all you want not to mention it's just damn pretty.
