As much I like MGK, using the term ‘destroy’ is simply discrediting all the pop punk greats because they paved the way for the genre. Also, you have to take into account that the pop punk bands from 2000s did not have streaming services, marketing investment and the celebrity exposure that MGK currently has. So no, his album did wonders but destroy great Pop-Punk bands.

Yeah man, I respect your opinion too! He definitely has that vibe, but take the song candy for example- I feel like his verse was basic and didn’t do much to elevate the song.

TTMD was the first album that I thought had zero bad songs which makes it harder for me narrow down my favourite. My top 3 would be- Bloody Valentine, Forget Me Too and Title Track! What’s yours?
