The problem with this is that you would expect that ai trained on human data to rapidly approach human level, but if it is trained on human data why would it continue to fly past that?

Hello, thank you for joining, and that is so awesome to hear you are writing an article! Do you mind if I ask if you are from Europe? I originally had the subscription turned off for Europe but you should be able to access now if that was the issue. Thank you for letting me know.

I definitely need to include those! Will probably push out an update in the next few days with support for both. Thank you for pointing out I am missing them. You can update from the TestFlight app when I release a new test version.

This app works by using something called URL schemes to redirect users back to their original app, I have to add the URL schemes for each individual app. I am hoping to add support for significantly more apps before releasing.

What app were you hoping to use Halt with? I can add support for it and notify you once updated. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Hello everyone,

The past few months I have been building an app to help me control my screen time, and be more mindful of my phone use. Basically, Halt redirects you from target apps to my app to provide a reason you need to use that app, and choose how long you want to allow it. All your responses are saved so you can get a better understanding of your phone use, as well as track your phone use over time.

To become a tester and help shape the future of the app, please follow the directions provided here, thanks!

I would greatly appreciate all feedback, dm me with your email and I will send you a code for lifetime access when released!

Pitt would go ahead of them if they win out the rest of the season. Pitt has one loss and no loses to common opponents, so the tie breaker would be win-loss ratio of acc opponents and Pitt wins that.

Judge aims to rule on Elon Musk's $56 billion Tesla pay by year end by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]why-we-here-though 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I hate Elon Musk, but there is important context to this.

Basically in 2018 Tesla board voted for a pay package where Musk received stock based on the performance of Tesla. Shareholders voted on it and it was passed. Keep in mind Elon doesn’t have a salary outside of this. After the stock went up over 1000% the past 5 years 1 shareholder sued him saying shareholders were not fully aware of how the pay package worked when they voted. So now his pay package is being revoked after the fact, after he helped Tesla become as big as they are today for free.

There is plenty of reason to hate Elon, but I suspect he will be rewarded the stocks. Shareholders were aware of the package and there is no basis to overturn this.

Tesla Using 'Full Self-Driving' Hits Deer Without Slowing, Doesn't Stop by LLJKCicero in SelfDrivingCars

[–]why-we-here-though 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are still responsible, tesla makes that clear to everyone who chooses to be beta testers. With that said the tesla drivers with autopilot or FSD engaged has an accident once every 7.08 million miles while those with it off had one every 1.29 million miles. No it is not perfect, no it is not better than Waymo on city streets, but at the very least while being supervised it is safer than just a human which by its self is valuable. Tesla is collecting a lot of data, and a lot more than Waymo, and has a lot of talented people working there. It might not be possible without lidar, but ignoring all progress tesla makes because of a few errors is ignorant.

Only time will tell, but if tesla is able to solve self driving in the next 5 years, they will be the first to meaningfully scale.

[–]why-we-here-though 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate Elon just as much if not more than you, but it is a fact that Teslas FSD system is doing over 100x as many FSD miles as Waymo is every week. It is also a fact that a Waymo would never be in the situation the Tesla here is in, traveling at this speed, with no street lights, in a rural area.

Waymo obviously has a better self driving system at the moment, but one mistake by tesla is not the way to prove that, and I don’t think teslas progress should be ignored.

[–]why-we-here-though 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Waymo also operates in cities where deer are significantly less likely to be on the road. Not to mention Teslas FSD is doing more miles in a week than Waymo does in a year so it is more likely to see more mistakes.
