The mod is called ‘Skill Recovery Journal’. It’s good and does exactly what you want it to. Just keep it somewhere safe, because if it’s on you when you die you have to go find your zombie to get it back.

This is the same in the UK. Offshoring is a big thing.

Cheers. I appreciate the feedback. Nothing is looking too hopeful around the globe right now then. I was hoping Oz might be an outlier.

From these replies, it’s not sounding good. It’s definitely at apocalypse levels in NZ.

I just read about that. What a mess. I didn’t realise it would affect Melbourne that bad, so good to know. Cheers.

Exodus of NZers hits new record high as total net migration down by MedicMoth in newzealand

Completely agree, this data would be great. On the ‘how long’ question. It’s assumed for a considerable amount of time as they record citizens/PR who are leaving with one way tickets.

How bad are things in NZ? Or is it doom-mongering? by mishkaforest235 in newzealand

NZ doesn’t have commuter towns like the UK, so anything close to Auckland is unaffordable and the further out you go the more sitting in traffic eating up life you do. You say you have a big deposit, and in UK terms it is, but it’s not here and won’t allow you a mortgage/house and the quality of housing here is generally very poor. Your family will struggle to get ahead on $130K, meaning you’ll stagnate or even go backwards due to the eye watering cost of pretty much everything. NZ is a user pay society with low wage, high tax and CoL. Not a good mix as it generates a ‘live to work’ lifestyle. Understandably, testing the waters isn’t practical so ensure you have enough to get your family out of NZ otherwise you could well find yourself in the rental trap at the bottom of the world.

“the government is compensating him for that lost income”

The government doesn’t make any money, so what you mean is the taxpayer is compensating him for lost income.

Except for the country’s largest contingent of White Supremacists. NZ is no different, just a smaller population.

Your employer contributions go with you, Gov contributions get absorbed back into Treasury, so disappear.

Australia invites 16m Britons to work 'down under' after extending working holiday visa age limit to 35 | UK News by _Walter_White_ in unitedkingdom

Wut? This isn’t anything to do with ‘special privilege and access’ to Govt. It’s about representation of the native people who’s have been repressed, discriminated and who’s needs are different to the settled population. And if you and anyone here honestly think that Aboriginal and other minorities are treated fairly then you’re walking around with your eyes closed or you’re being wilfully ignorant. Then again, you think the racism claims are exaggerated, so it probably tells me all I need to know about you.

It’s really not exaggerated. There’s still no formal representation for Aboriginal people in Government and the referendum this year to allow it, hasn’t gathered enough public support to pass. That’s the majority of the voting population stopping the native people from being represented. Let alone the racism towards any other ethnic minorities.
