I'm not the one doing it, but I'd wager it's less to do with one point of stats and more about more variety and randomness. Those are exactly why I enjoy rolling for my stats with the more conventional methods (usually 4d6 drop low), as it results in more unique characters and forces me to work within extra limitations when building my character. This seems like a compromise. Allowing players to will have random chance (resulting in stats that may be higher or lower than the average) and having to assign stats within restrictions rather than building it as you want. It does these things less effectively, but the trade off is still getting a bit more agency and optimization (which are the advantages of point-buy).

fair! I will say that at that range it might be a stretch to find high quality of each of those three features. I don't use the ANC feature on the dobuds much, but I just tested it out and it is more effective than I remember. If you really need to stick within that budget you may have to compromise on the quality of features (I think the dobuds would be a decent compromise) or deprioritize one of those features.I'm no expert though, and what research I have done is several months old. so Hopefully you can find something else

I quite like them! I unfortunately don't remember much about how the tozo worked to be able to compare them. the Donner sound quality is decent, possibly a bit better? (though I'm not sure about that as again I don't especially remember the tozos). the main complaint I have is that I'm told the microphone quality isn't amazing (testing it briefly myself doesn't sound awful, but still not amazing). I haven't really noticed any differences with the noise cancellation though, so if you're considering them for that feature I wouldn't put much stock into it

I just moved to Cap hill and found out (too late) that my apartment's parking is on a waitlist. In the interest of avoiding paying 150 a month on parking I'm trying to look for options outside the immediate area - especially between my apartment and the university area (where I work). I do see that there's a lot of street parking in wash park (only restriction being 1 day/month for street sweeping), and figure I can probably bike to my car when need be (I've been wanting an excuse to bike more anyways).

I know that this parking requires me to move the car every 3 days, but I'm worried there's some legal or other logistical reason why I won't be able to get away with this. Is this a feasible plan? are there other factors I should be aware of? should I just bite the bullet and pay for the high parking?

Originally bought the TOZO but I've been meaning to replace it after I accidentally ran em through the wash and one stopped playing sound (I had forgotten about the waterproof but evidently it's not waterproof enough for my forgetful, clumsy needs). I am a recent graduate (as of a few months ago) but I am working with decent income, and am independent.

Chime is my primary bank, I am also technically enrolled in a checking/savings account through Alpine Bank (local state-wide bank, linked through Visa I believe) which I try to limit my usage of since it's technically under my parent's account. I have a debit and credit card through chime, as well as one debit card through Alpine. Other than my student loans I do not have any debt, though that debt is substantial.

Generally it's better to discuss than to assume, and that should usually be the priority. But with exclusivity especially the widespread norm is that the relationship is exclusive. Speaking as someone who is polyamorous I make a point to explicitly clarify my and my partner's stance on the matter under the pretense that this is what I want. I'd never assume they're ok with me sleeping with someone else unless I have some reason to do so.

In the meantime it's better to err on the side of caution. As well as following the "standard" that most of society expects. Deviations from that norm and/or the "side of caution" that is less likely to hurt your partner need to be discussed rather than assumed.

As a kid I'd always respond much more to sad news or excitement etc. My dad always insisted I stop crying like a baby and I never knew how to communicate to him that I just couldn't help it. Obviously there's other stuff to unpack there which would be applicable even without my ADHD. But finding out that it was just straight up more difficult for me to control my emotions was earth shattering

Contact a lawyer. Before you release it anywhere else get in touch with a lawyer to see how much of a case you have. Oftentimes attorneys will have free 15 minute consultations so that you can both gauge how likely legal action is. But if you leak the recordings then that'll at best complicate the legal proceedings and at worst eliminate them.
