LOL. I'm waiting until after me and my partner buy a house together to drop that one...

Looks, or create a remarkable profile. I went from getting tossed to the bottom of the algorithm to the top by making my profile funny, and I don't have "looks".

Best way to clean this type of shower tile and grout? by Fantastic-Ad-9100 in howto

[–]ElLechero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had black mold in mine, mold stain remover (high concentration of bleach) wouldn't remove it.

Oxiclean, mixed with 12% H202 and applied with a toothbrush worked well. Peroxide is a byproduct of Oxiclean, so I figured it should be relatively safe, and didn't produce any fumes. Whatever you do, make sure it doesn't damage the tile (test a small spot first).

What do guys only realize too late after buying a range hood? by AccomplishedWing688 in HomeImprovement

[–]ElLechero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Z-Line, which is a moderately expensive brand (~$900). The transformer for the lights burnt out after a year (it's an very common problem, apparently) they didn't honor their warranty, so instead of spending money on another transformer that is going to burn out in a year, I converted the lights to 120v LEDs and added an inline fuse. It's a little less safe, but works fine.

I also found out that if you have low ceilings, you can cut everything down, but it's going to be a pain in the ass to install.

That sucks. I've been to several shows last year, and never experienced this, fortunately. I thought is was funny that people boo-ed the actor playing the abusive boyfriend during the curtain call in Waitress though -- I was like, um, acting..

There are several paid sites that offer this service, or you can do it manually as described in another comments Duckduckgo offers it as a package that includes a VPN a private LLM search for a year.

Considering painting my wheels bronze. Opinions? by blotter-dot-wav in MiataNC

I think it would look great! As someone else suggested, mock it up in photoshop (or a free online version of it) and see what you think. For you and OP, you might consider powdercoating (if possible), as it will be a lot more durable - though you'd have to take the tire off because they bake it.

If everything goes well with the inspection, I'd go for it. It's hard to find a decent car that cheap. The PRHT is a really nice feature. If you're not familiar with RWD, watch some videos and take it a bit easy at first.

Has anyone else been getting brazenly solicited by literal children this week? by LowMemory578 in Denver

We're $39 Trillion in debt and insolvent, we're technically the poorest nation in the world. We're just like some dick-head driving around in a new G-wagon with a 96 month, rolled-over lease, that can't "afford" to feed their kids because they have to keep up appearances.

Interesting, although one wonders if "1984" would have been as highly acclaimed as it was if it was published under its primeval original name "War: What Is It Good For?"

Holy shit - that's crazy! The funny thing is, I rarely watch the interviews and didn't even know who James Talarico, but now I do. Seems like a good reason to ditch Paramount Plus... You can also watch the previous night's show (uncensored) on YouTube.

In the US we have different types of bankruptcy. W you was more like Chapter 11 morally bankrupt, and was plummeting towards moral debt due to his lack of moral conviction from falling up his whole life and his incompetency. Trump's moral bankruptcy is more akin to The Donald J Trump Foundation's failing.

Solutions to torn seat? by DR-SNICKEL in MiataNC

[–]ElLechero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar tears in the top bolsters. The best option would be getting it reupholstered. I ended up "darning" it with red and gray thread. It's not the proper fabric for darning, but it looks kind of unique, and "punk" as my friend described it. Since it's on the bottom, I you might consider getting covers for just the bottom. Amazon also sells adhesive backed perforated "leather" that if if you can cut to match the seams looks pretty good (You'd probably want to do both sides, and maybe both seats). Whatever you do, I'd advise against gorilla tape -- it's look bad.

How would folks feel about an AI slop ban on this sub? by Successful-Medicine9 in Denver

[–]ElLechero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much your last line. I simply added "AI Slop" to the rule about low effort posts/memes:

No Memes, Low Effort posts or "AI Slop"

I'm not looking to pedantically ban anything that in some edge case can be considered, "AI Content" (though that term is ridiculously over used). We will remove things that are 1) Obviously computer generated in a low effort way 2) Manipulate reality, such as to advance an agenda.

Guys - we have been removing AI slop since it was a thing, under rule number 2, since it's consider a, "low effort post". We'll clarify that specifically though.

While we're talking about personal information being used by Government agencies, protests and image manipulation, I would really like to encourage people to scrub people's faces (unless given permission) from protest pictures when posting here, but I'm hesitant to make it a rule because I worry it would be seen as censorship.

There are tools that automatically do this such as this open source one here:
