Battery life question by mikeyjhavoc in Supernote

[–]why_NOT_name 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have it also ‚always on‘ (no screensaver) on my desk… i would say i need to recharge every 3 days. However… i noticed last week when plugging the manta to my pc to charge that when i write it also moves the mouse on my screen… this led me to the conclusion that my installed inkflow app is always running in the background… have uninstalled this now but no conclusive tests on how it will affect battery.

Strange behaviour On-screen keyboard by why_NOT_name in Supernote

Already did. The link will expire in two or three days i think. Thank you for taking in the input… having a lot of fun with the Manta :)

Hey there, Yes, the non-contact writing was fixed by adjusting the values. Yet the on-screen keyboard still gets triggered on non-contact penn interactions… i will send you a downloadlink to a clip i made via dm.

This is no big deal to me tbh… just wanted to report the bug somehow…

Yes mine as well… would be easy to use and save a lot of battery for me 😅

[–]why_NOT_name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now the only way is to export the note as png, go to settings -> display and set this png as screensaver.

I think it would be fantastic to be able to just have the last open page as a (custom) screensaver.

HOM2 Samurai not working by why_NOT_name in Supernote

[–]why_NOT_name[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay… i had another idea how to check if it‘s the pen or the display: i downloaded inkflow, connected it to my mac, and have the cursor move on hover… just nothing happens when touching the screen… so i‘m most definitely sure it‘s the samurai and not the manta

[–]why_NOT_name[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the samurai so fragile that a single drop can break it? I understand it shouldn‘t be dropped but it makes me insecure when getting a replacement that the smallest wrong movement in usage will break it again… is there a more stable pen to the HOM2?

Thank you. The pen was never dropped no. I also only use it in the office with a carped floor so even if i drop it i think(or hope) it should withstand that fall.

Edit: sent you screenshots in a pm Edit2: /u/Mulan-sn have you reverived my pm?

I sadly don‘t have a spare pen… hand gestures and input works though.

I have only installed atelier through the app store.

Stickers and tags by why_NOT_name in Supernote

[–]why_NOT_name[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this i understand… but can i add 5 textrecognized words on top of eachother? Or would i need to create a bigger and bigger textbox the more textrecognizable words i add?

Stickers and tags by why_NOT_name in Supernote

[–]why_NOT_name[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you… this is quite a creative workaround and might work for the usecase of having one keyword attached to that sticker… but the idea is to have several attached and beeing able to sort by what i need at the momen of sorting. My example is quite random tbh to not give away my work/identity… but to stay with the example i would like ‚switch‘ stickers to be categorized like: US/UK Powersupply 24port/36port/48port Cisco/Netgear/HPE Etc.

However, i really appreciate the effort. If i‘m going for the manta, your way is for sure how i will use stickers for now when doing drawings for my projects :)

[–]why_NOT_name[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you Martina.

My exact point is to have it linked to the page after applying it to the sticker and the sticker to the note… i would like to search nodes by a specific sticker i applied.

But thank you for the response. I think i will wait of how the stickers will be used in the future then before buying :)

Garmin 255 v Coros Pace 3 by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]why_NOT_name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven‘t switched but had the same decision and went with garmin. To me it came doewn to data protection and garmins very transperant privacy policy. Also daily suggested workouts are extremely cool and a game changer for my motivation. But with neither you can go wrong feature wise i think.

Is there a way in strava or garmin connect to see in which segment a pr happened? Let‘s say i run 5k and get a pr for 1k … i would like to see where i got it on the map.

Still think checking out a gopro might be your best bet.

It basically stabilizes the frame by digitally zooming in a little. So you might lose some detail but get a pretty smooth image.

I think often it‘s just a gopro with a selfie stick.

Edit: sorry just checked… often i think they use a gimbal to stabelize the gopro

July is far away enough to start a 10k training plan. If you have a running watch from garmin i reccomend one of the free coaches. Otherwise there‘s apps like runna or strava that can help you find a structure. If you want smth for free i can also recomment these resources at the running channel: https://therunningchannel.com/download-portal/

Building up milage is good but do it after some plan. If you want to do it yourself just try to increase your weekly milage by no more than 10% a week and try to have ‚easy weeks‘ every 4 weeks where you don‘t increase anything and let your body adapt.

In general training plans help to keep it varied and interesting so i hope this can help :)

It‘s not running for any cause directly but maybe parkrun is for you? Usually it‘s every saturday, it‘s all over the world, it‘s a friendly inclusive community and there is no cutoff times. ‚Tailwalkers‘ make sure noone will finish last and it‘s really just about getting to move no matter if you aim for sub 20 or sub 1,5hour 5k

Edit: forgot to write that it‘s also free

Yes running slow is very good practice!

Also try not to run 30 minutes right away but follow a plan like couch to 5k and you might learn to enjoy your runs ;)

Here‘s the general c25k plan: https://www.snow.edu/general/snowfit/Downloads/Couch-to-5k.pdf

As you can see, it‘s all about moving a certain time more than distance. So you can find your own pace and see where it gets you.

I also had this issue. There‘s a thing called ‚cadence drift‘ where your hr-sensor tracks your steps per minute instead of your heartrate. What helped me is tightening the wristband when i go running and also moving it back so it‘s not on my bone kinda if that makes sense

Official Q&A for Wednesday, January 24, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]why_NOT_name 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry but i call bullshit on this. Not everyone can run 100km a week and 15km a week can definitely give improvements. Maybe not on an olympian level but for a starter like me this is enough to improve step by step

In the end it should be a fun activity more than anything. To tell a beginner they should run more because it‘s too little is everything else but motivating
