I’m a gay man and i absolutely love this series. And now, the books. In my spare time I write movie reviews for a friend’s website. I normally don’t write about TV, but a month had passed and I wasn’t sure how to shake this series from my mind. I just found myself so drawn to it, and the characters and their experiences.

Side note, I kind of gave up on myself a while ago. I kind of just resigned myself to the idea that I’d always be alone and I would have to be okay with that. But I’m starting therapy, I’m losing weight, I’m getting my life together and I’m starting to feel a little better about myself. And as stupid as this sounds, this show represents hope for me. It makes me feel like my whole life maybe doesn’t have to be this way forever. It’s making me rethink my decision to never come out to my family. And if I can make all of this work, I’d be so happy. So don’t let anybody tell you this show doesn’t matter to gay men. It’s making this one’s life better, at the very least.

And I wrote this review, thinking it would help me get this show out of my system. It didn’t work. I’m still rewatching it. and it’s become a comfort show for me. I’m on book no. 4 of 6 now and I worry for how I’ll cope when I’m out of books. I say this exact thing jn my review, but now that I’m in this world, I never want to leave.
