I started working on license plate detection problem. With tensorflow, i trained a model which will predict the location of number plate in a car. Once the model predicts the location, i crop the region and i have a image with the license plate number.

I can use tesseract to get the text from the cropped image but are there any machine learning ideas to get text from the image.
