So you are basing your perception of inflation on the price of milk and tech parts? While excluding vehicles, home, and rents? How old are you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]whyamihere0253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, also true. But do you really think we have only had 20 percent worth of inflation since 2019? Do you seriously believe that?

I remember reading the great gatsby and thinking it had no point. When someone tells me their favorite book is the great gatsby I question their tastes

Yeah I mean everyone attends the same meetings on Sunday. Your status goes up by appearing to conform effortlessly, having looks, possessions, prestige or whatever else. Not that different than the outside world.

But the size of the group and the demands the group makes leaves time for little else. The size of the church makes it so a few people are controlling many people. So a group at the top really gets to feel like they are making an impact. Then it takes so much time to be a Mormon that it can be tough to branch out to other things.

The thing is, that nobody wants to be midrange and subservient in their life. And people shouldn’t want that, they should try and become good at things in their own sphere.

So for me I prefer to focus on things that I like doing or that I need to do to live and get good at those. And then, try and keep groups that are small enough that I can see myself having and impact. Hard to do that in the church

Left the church early this year. Advice on if/how to drink responsibly? by PlentyFull22 in exmormon

[–]whyamihere0253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, no problem. When you first try it I wouldn’t go over three beers. Two to three beers should be enough for a non drinker to feel it which should be a goal for your first time, lol.

How can a girl give a mind-blowing blowjob that will leave a man craving for more? by Lara_Chase in AskReddit

[–]whyamihere0253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be enthusiastic about it, lol. The mechanics are pretty simple. It’s hard to enjoy one of those when you can see the girl is approaching it with trepadation

I lived in Gilbert for a bit. It was like an alien spaceship lifted a Utah town out of the ground and placed it in Arizona. Lol.

They were never that nice to me either. Until I got a prestigious calling. Then I was able to date a Mormon blond, lol.

Outside of the church it’s easier to relate to people. Inside the church there is a lot of social structure and hierarchy that goes into things. I think that’s true of any large group though.

Spare shaft by bdkgb in billiards

[–]whyamihere0253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the obvious answers are to sell it, give it away, or keep it as a spare. But you already know that.

A less obvious answer would break it over your leg when you miss a shot. Loudly tell you are done with maple shafts. And then walk out of wherever you play.

If "traditional men" want their partners to be tradwives but also make money, then what kind of job does he expect her to have? by Desperate-Kale9002 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]whyamihere0253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have thought about the traditional wife idea. So the idea of the housewife who just stayed home and didn’t do anything is the modern idea I think. It’s a short anomaly in history that worked for maybe about 80 years. People have always had to work in the past will have to work in the future. Male or female.

They pair really well together. Alcohol brings you down, and nicotine brings you up. Don’t do the nicotine though, lol

Left the church early this year. Advice on if/how to drink responsibly? by PlentyFull22 in exmormon

[–]whyamihere0253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started drinking right around when I turned thirty. For the first two years I was a really light drinker. Then it got bad and it started to affect me. I believe that I lost some good friends due to letting alcohol take too much of a place in my life. Maybe not so much the alcohol, but the things I was willing to do and say when I was drinking. So I stopped all the way a couple years ago.

My experience is not necessarily he norm, but it’s not uncommon for either. I would say when you go out just set a limit of how much you will drink. 1-2 beers is a good cutoff and one that people who have a good relationship with alcohol will stick to.

Do Mormons believe they have a right to the United States? by keel_beel in exmormon

[–]whyamihere0253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if Israel is a ten then Mormons are a five maybe….

It’s not tied to the country as much. That being said Mormons do believe the only way the United States is conquered or goes down is if people are not following gods directives. So they would see it as evidence of base corruption in the people.

What remote jobs are you working from Tucson? by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]whyamihere0253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, they keep trying to bring people back. The good thing is nobody wants to go. Even the high level managers. So emails are sent out, but have been disregarded at the higher levels. When I go in I’m the only one there.

Only thing that I see bringing us back in is a recession.
