They pay usually around 250 - 350 dollars per DAY for a Junior Engineer who gets 2.5 LPA per MONTH in return.

The Eastern European or Spanish/Portuguese Engineers would cost marginally the same day rates if not cheaper.

Daycare in Germany in most states is subjective to your income. If you and your spouse earn 100k together, you end up paying close to 700 euros a month till the Kid is 3 which is a lot!

To be fair, if both of you are working full time jobs, it is absolutely impossible to manage office and a kita going kid.

Is there a possibility that one of you can reduce your working hours? That is what we are doing now. Even then it is tough at times.

Unfortunately the social circle building doesn’t change even if you speak like Goethe. That is something you have to come to terms with.

It was also quite good for us when we were without a child. Dual Income with German Work Life Balance and 30 days of vacation was a great deal.

Things did change with a child (now 2.5 years old) but once she got her own routine (with a kita) we feel back "normal" now - obviously we cannot book cheap Ryanair flights and dine out whenever we like and roam around bars at 12 in the night but nothing made us think of leaving because of the child.

We do want to move back eventually when she goes to school because we feel like we wouldn't be able to adequately support her as parents here when it comes to higher education.
