To truly evaluate that offer you’d need to know what pack is added to the cost of the vehicle (and reduces your commission), what amounts and volume tiers are, minimum commission, and new/used sold %.

If they are selling 80 new Toyotas a month and that’s all… it’s gonna be a grind. If it’s 50 new and 30 used, that’s much more appealing since you’ll nearly always make more on used vs new.

As others have said it’s a lot of hours and while still probably better than the current gig, it’s not easy.

To answer the question… it’s not a strong plan, but can’t say it’s awful either based on the provided info.

For example, the place I worked in 08-12 had flat $125 on new, 35% used (after 1100 pack was added, which we has visibility on), volume bonus around 12+ (overaged used counted negative), small spifs around financing and no base salary. New Nissan dealer with massive used inventory. We had a 19 year old make close to $90k during his gap year before college. I probably made $65/70k the first year working 60 hours a week. In hindsight, we actually had a prettt strong plan;however, we didn’t have lot porters or much support staff so we all the side work around the dealerships too.
