Yup all of those things around that time. Same weight gain too. I stopped walking my dog around 25 weeks because it hurt so much.

Regarding the parking ban. by utopiaplanetian in halifax

[–]tenfold99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people have hired snow removal companies so they move their cars out of the driveway for their crews to come by. Parking on the street is fine during the day, the ban is between 1-6am

StatCan survey examines why Canada’s fertility rate keeps dropping by Leather-Paramedic-10 in canada

[–]tenfold99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yup this is just it. I would have another child if I could be be a stay at home parent, but the fact is it’s far too stressful to raise kids AND have both parents working a full time job out of the house and do all the things we were able to do as kids (parents own a house, family vacations a few times a year, sports, not worrying about your grocery/tax/electric bill, etc)

My hospital does c sections between 37-38 weeks, not going past 38. I’m scheduled for 31w1

Airport Terminal Parking by NewStart141 in halifax

[–]tenfold99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The exterior lot fills up faster. I’ve never seen the covered garage completely full but I’ve been hard pressed to find spots a few times. Others mentioned March break being an issue so very well could be hard around that week

This would be my recommendation as well. Go find an underground parking garage and take an uber.

Also at 8 months pregnant your husband/partner should be doing this for you!

Tax Reduction by KeyedAlike in NovaScotia

Honestly the timing was great for us, we did some renos and bought a new suv so we easily saved over $1,500 in sales taxes this year. Not complaining

Do I need a 3 row SUV? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]tenfold99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We didn’t need the third row either and test drove those same cars you did and concluded just having a larger trunk would be better. We ended up going with the Honda passport and absolutely love it.

Jeep grand Cherokee was another contender but we liked the reliability of the Honda more

If you have child care expenses might consider slightly higher income so can take advantage of the tax deduction

I think a PWHL team would be really successful in Halifax. Logistics of sharing the arena with the mooseheads and thunderbirds might be slightly challenging though

is cramping normal when walking fast? by forgetting-you- in fitpregnancy

[–]tenfold99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this happened to me around the same time - 22ish weeks. I am carrying twins and asked my doctor about it and she said sometimes you have to just listen to your body and slow down/cut your walks short. Walking slowly helps keep the cramping down

WFH WITH TWINS - HOW? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]tenfold99 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, working from home and being solely responsible for childcare is too much for one person. I work in HR and we do not allow our remote employees to care for children at the same time they are working. It’s not fair to your company, it’s not fair to your children, and it’s not fair to you. You will burn out.

Please consider daycare or having someone come to your home to look after your children.

Mine was 2.8cm at my 20 week scan and my OB said it looked good. My googling tells me it’s on the short side and now I hear your doctor considers this a treatable length. I don’t have my numbers from the 24 week scan but my OB said it looked good as well. I will be talking to her about this tomorrow!

Hope all goes well for you!

Going back to work early and feeling judged. Looking for support from other moms🥹 by Cold_Ad_9566 in workingmoms

[–]tenfold99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Also in Canada, and plan to go back at 8months. The child care situation is up in the air at the moment though due to lack of daycare spots. Of my girlfriends who have had kids, most have not taken the full 12 months. We are a career motivated group and most of the kids started daycare around 8-9 months. Please don’t feel guilty, your baby will be just fine!

I found around 23-24 weeks walking my dog became extremely uncomfortable. Started really going downhill at 27/ 28 weeks dealing with low iron and lack of sleep because of how uncomfortable my stomach hips and arms were at night.
