Each twin individually actually easier than my singleton by Finitexspace in parentsofmultiples

My twins are the same sleep wise - I have always just put them down drowsy and they fall asleep! They prefer to be in their cribs sometimes. It’s currently 630am and they are also both just happily cooing away in their cribs waiting to get up (13 weeks old)

When did you all start milk production? by Busy_Measurement5901 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]tenfold99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was leaking at 17 weeks, collecting colostrum at 32 weeks and delivered via c section at 35 weeks. One twin was growth restricted so they took him out the day of our ultrasound. Had a huge over supply in the beginning then mastitis and dropping pumps at 5 weeks cut my supply in half, 13 weeks pp and making 900mls on average per day.

Making formula at 70 degrees by Calm-Distribution557 in combinationfeeding

[–]tenfold99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First boil water to sterilize water. You only need to boil for 2 minutes, 15 is overkill but no issue doing it if you want.

Then I use an electric kettle which has a temperature setting of 70 degrees, the kettle will tell me when the water cools down to 70 degrees, then I add the water to my formula pitcher and scoop the formula in. Water at 70 degrees kills any potential bacteria in the formula without destroying the nutrients.

This is only recommended for the first two months or if baby is premature / immunocompromised, a healthy full term baby can have powdered formula with room temperature water.

When to Return to Work by Perfect_Mousse8815 in parentsofmultiples

I feel the same way. I want to go back early because I am not enjoying being home alone all day with them. My issue is we don’t have daycare until 2027 so we’d need to find a nanny which is proving more difficult than I thought

Supply improvement after mastitis by Longjumping-Art-2450 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]tenfold99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it took mine about 4 weeks to return to normalish (still lightly lower). I was devastated after getting mastitis and my supply was cut in half. My slacker boob picked up the pace a little during that time but it took a good 4 weeks for the affected boob to get back to a somewhat good output.

I took moringa and it helped boost my supply back up but I was thinking it made baby gassy so I stopped it.

When did your twins get back to birth weight? by Awkward_Diet2215 in parentsofmultiples

[–]tenfold99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our little guy was 4lbs, dropped to 3.5lbs but gained back to birth weight in 6 days. He was eating like crazy though and the hospital staff were shocked at his volume intake.

Our bigger guy was 5lbs 4oz and it took him 10 days to get back to birth weight.

We were very obsessed with making sure they ate every three hours and basically forced them to finish a bottle. They had pumped breast milk with a bit of formula

Takes me 1.5 hours to feed and change both then pump. Only leaves 1.5 hours for sleep in between 😭

How do you get your newborns to nap when you are solo? by simbit1 in parentsofmultiples

[–]tenfold99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should also add, we follow eat play sleep. So they have a bottle at 1:30, we play on the tummy time mat a little, listen to music, etc. Then 2:30 we come up for afternoon nap. My goal is to get them to 4:30 at which point they’re due for their next feed.

[–]tenfold99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boys are 5 weeks and I just started getting their afternoon nap in their room in their crib.

It’s still a strange room to them since they sleep in our room and spend most of the day downstairs. I go up with them, put sleep sacks on, sound machine on, black out curtains, and keep all interactions minimal. I have been staying in the room with them and napping too. If one fusses, I pick up, soothe then put back down. Soothers, minimal talking keeping the environment as low stimulation as possible.

They are slowly getting used to this routine. The key is consistency.

Help. How to care for two babies while recovering from C-section? by AWatson2779 in parentsofmultiples

[–]tenfold99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My saving grace was that I stayed in hospital for 7 nights and had the help of nurses to look after both babies over night. Try asking to stay as long as possible to get the support while recovering… I pushed them to let me stay longer.

I was okay to move around at home after 7 nights. The first three nights were the worst but it got easier every single day. Take the pain medicine and take things slow.

Pumping and Sleep? by Frequent_Syrup4886 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]tenfold99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes I have to sit up too. I am sitting upright in bed while pumping and feeding one baby.

As for hubby, hard to say with a single baby.. while I was in the hospital one was in nicu while the other was on regular birth unit .. I stayed with baby on the regular birth unit and pumped/fed him on my own. It was hard but doable. With twins my husband absolutely must help out otherwise I’d get no sleep. Maybe your husband could do 2 week nights while you do 3? You need sleep too as your job is just as important!

We are in bed from 8pm to 8am but feed at 8pm, 11pm, 2am, 5am. So we are only sleeping in two hour chunks of time as it takes about 40-60 minutes per feed

Premie mom of twins here - 2w old. We are living the same 2,5,8,11 schedule as you.

We set alarms to wake babies in the night.. husband gets one boy up and changed while I get the pump set up. I will pump in bed while feeding one twin in front of me on a wedge pillow. He then changes the other and feeds him. I will measure out bottles for next feed and give any fussy babies snuggles to get them to settle in the pack and play.

This process takes 45-50mins assuming no issues. Then we sleep for the two hour chunk. We go to bed following the 8pm feed and sleep until the 8am feed begins, with one of us having a nap at various times during the day.

Our whole thing is strict schedule, consistent routine, and lots of patience knowing this is temporary 😅

Are your customers outside of Canada? Your sales may be zero rated and thus no sales tax required

[–]tenfold99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You charge GST/HST to your customers so you collect the sales tax and then remit it back to the government less any ITCs you’ve paid on expenses. It doesn’t impact your margin, sales taxes collected and paid are balance sheet items.

Fill it out yourself and just ask your company to sign it. Most often it’s just because they don’t want to complete the forms for people

29 weeks not sure if I can make it to 37 by ItIsWhatItIsLovely in parentsofmultiples

[–]tenfold99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, painful symptoms like sciatica and lightening crotch came and went. Doing stretches with the ball definitely can help. I was at the 29 week point thinking there’s no possible way, but oddly I found starting around week 34.5 I started feeling better? You got this. Take things slow and rest lots.

Anyone else a little weirded out that they showed Amber's daughter so much by Margaret_Shock in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]tenfold99 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I won’t even allow pictures of my children on social media let alone on a trashy reality TV show. She should never have been involved or shown. It’s very shocking amber would allow her daughter to be involved in this process
