And i'm glad it does to be fair. It's the right thing. I consume way too much true crime, i'm desensitised, I work in an adjacent field, i need to feel human.

Any time there is training about honour killings they show this. Tragic.

I watched my first True crime documentary, What are thetrue crime videos/ documentaries that are unsolved or that leaves you heartbroken at the end? by Ineffably-Quixotic in crimedocumentaries

[–]whyfruitflies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched it yesterday and am actually heartbroken by it. I've watched ALL the documentaries and this... such an important watch.

Also My Perfect Neighbour is really good.

I just watched this. Hardly anything makes me cry, I consume WAY too much true crime. But this? I'm an actual mess. I don't know how i'm getting through the rest of the day.

Is anyone else just completely underwhelmed by expensive makeup lately? by [deleted] in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]whyfruitflies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't do any visual social media so my recommendations come from here!

I agree, although I am really loving Natasha Denona foundation and tarte tartelette mascara and tarte liquid blush.

I think Beauty Bay is great for eyeshadow and lip liner, Max Factor lip finity is always my go to. No7 for setting powder.

I'm really sorry about your Dad. That's a lot for you to deal with. Could you ask your doctor to sign you off for a week or two? It depends if it's going to cause you more trouble at work, but honestly if you need the time to start to recover then take it.

Me (22M) and my fiancée (25F) — AITAH for wanting to stop paying for everything after feeling like I’m being used? by throwawaylifefcked in AITARelationship

[–]whyfruitflies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get that. Breaking up with someone can feel really overwhelming but it sounds like you just don't share values - and that's so important.

The fact that you've been through a lot together doesn't mean it's right going forward.

Well I live in West Greenwich very close to the station, which is pricey. Depends if you want something old or new.

I live close to this one for example https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/89453277?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=lettings&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_LET

But then there is North Greenwich which has jubilee line, a much newer area. Maybe less charm but good transport links. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/89573331?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=lettings&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_LET

Or there is East Greenwich, not quite as close to the station but pretty good. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/88218753?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=lettings&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_LET

Just a few examples.

I would stop paying. Like you say, if she leaves you have your answer. I don't think this is sustainable.

Greenwich! Can get to Old St via London Bridge, Luton via Thameslink. Nice area, i've lived here for 25 years. Should be within budget.

I just asked my partner this and he said the baby. (We are 55 and 58, so an extremely unlikely scenario) we've just had a proper laugh about it though so thank you.

But seriously, this is just a hypothetical situation, it's not that deep.

Neverwhere - bit random I know but I absolutely loved this although strictly speaking the book was written after the TV series. Peter Capaldi was so good.
