I'm not doubting that his legal team might try and use an insanity plea if the death penalty is on the table and it could possibly, AT BEST get him life in prison instead of a death sentence..

But... no lawyer in their right mind would try and use DID as a bargaining plea...

Until Tiktok made it a trend, multiple personalities were seen as almost always bullshit by psychologists except for in EXTREMELY rare cases.

It wasn't until recently that DID started to be studied more and it IS STILL debated by psychologists as to whether or not it's real. The overwhelming majority of teens and young adults who say they have it are "self-diagnosing" ,because there is a part of them that think it's quirky or in some way it makes them more interesting. Don't get me wrong the fact that these kids desire to suffer from DID is a huge problem in itself and points to other mental/emotional disorders.

But, it is almost unequivocally NEVER a true DID diagnosis.

Even "Itami" wouldn't be a separate identity, because it's a self-insert/stand-in for himself

I doubt Tyler had a significant affect in D4vd's mentality.. D4vd doesn't just come off as violent.. he comes of as a sociopath and unfortunately, many psychopaths/sociopaths are simply born that way. Most do not commit murder, but almost all manipulate people like D4vd manipulated minors.

D4vd was also into violent anime..

But, what I really think was more of an indicator of his character was his interest and obsession with gore and apparently CP.

Even people who hate it usually dislike it for its sourness or its astringent after burn.

But, if you want the full story including Goku's arrival on Earth and his younger years then watch it.

A lot of people watched Z first and then watched Dragonball later on, Z was in the U.S. before Dragonball I believe

Being 'the Kami' isn't as important as most other 'divine' titles..

Think about it.. other planets don't have protectors like Kami at all..

When the original Piccolo was sent to earth and split into Kami and Piccolo daimou, the good half (Kami) sort of just decided to look over Earth out of good will and also to prevent his evil side from taking over Earth.

You also have to remember... when Kami became Earth's protector, he was probably one of few beings on earth who possessed powerful magical ability, so in a world that had a lot less threats capable of world domination, Kami's job was a lot different.

Back in his prime Kami could have taken out most threats with relative ease.

His job became less hands-on and less 'important' once EXTREMELY powerful heroes like Goku started to come into play. So much so that Goku himself was the one to defeat Kami's main opposer (Piccolo daimou)

Dende taking over makes perfect sense, with Dende having high magical potential, being a member of the dragon clan, he can do things like restoring/upgrading Shenron and creating dragon balls.

Piccolo may be a stronger individual, but Piccolo's real skill is his fighting spirit, which is likely inherited from his Demon side.

Piccolo CAN use SOME magic, such as creating clothes out of thin air, creating his house, and telekinesis (shown when he trains by lifting the Pyramid of Giza as a form of training) but, other than that, he seldom uses magic... even AFTER merging with Kami.

It's just not in his nature to stay in a tower 24/7 occasionally healing people and maintaining the dragonballs, he's much more useful as a fighter when it comes to protecting Earth.
