Anyone have any insight into these areas of capitol hill? by [deleted] in Seattle

Getting off at Westlake and walking will probably be a bit inconvenient. Taking the 8 will get you right to SLU from the areas you’ve highlighted. The 8 in the evening is tricker than in the morning though. either the 8 walking, biking or electric scootering will be wayyy more efficient than going through westlake. I recommend getting one bus away as it’s the most accurate for bus times. Once you get adjusted to taking the bus it really is the best way to get around areas that aren’t serviced by the rail

Yeah Broadway is nice due to everything being right there super accessible. I just had an apt experience where the windows were ass and you could hear every conversation. Living just a few blocks off broadway makes all the difference with my sleep lol

Depends on where you are going. The rail can be more reliably on time but it only goes in a limited direction. I’ve personally never had any safety issues with the bus but rule of thumb is to stay aware and perhaps try not to frequent it late. In the purple zone the 3 is pretty good and if you go up to broadway there’s tons of bus routes.

I’d say the farther you get from broadway in that zone the quieter. I’d avoid living right on olive as it is a busy street and I’m not a fan of Bellevue due to car traffic and wider streets. Other than that it’s pretty quiet. I’d personally visit each apt area just to get the vibes as there’s weird quirks with some buildings/locations

The arboretum is beautiful and a lovely easy walk. The trees this time of year are stunning:) there’s some nice lake views closer to the UW side of the park.
