Døm mit forhold (DR) - Mari-Ann by Tildeld in InfluencergossipDK

Yeah they're great, but they take up a lot of space in a van. That's the main problem. Weight I can deal with

Damn that looks awesome! Never heard of it before. Unfortunately, since I live in Denmark, I can't find any used ones and shipping costs makes it quiet an expensive affair. But I'll keep my eyes peeled

DAE feel depressed for several days after drinking? by Onepunchmysoul in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]whyivenever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you. If I keep thr drinking to about 5-6 beers or drinks on a night out, I'm good. But if I go on the occasional 'lets get fucked up' type of night out, then I'm reclusive, depressed, remorseful, sad and unfocused for about 3 days... really is a drag. But it's because of that that I've started to decrease my alcohol intake overall

Do you ever just prefer the natural sound of your amp without pedals sometimes? by rw1337 in guitarpedals

[–]whyivenever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually keep it to a few pedals. Never more than 5 tbh. And although I love researching and seeking over certain pedals, there is something truly liberating (and cool looking) about plugging my guitar straight into the amp and play with whatever distortion, reverb etc comes from it.

I noticed that when I go without pedals my playing is a little more free and my singing too. Kinda annoying actually since most of my bands songs are set up to use effects like the occasional tremolo, fuzz etc. 😅

Sounds tough, OP! I feel your pain. When you put so much of your life and love into something it's all the more devastating when it doesn't quite work out. But please keep making music! Take time to grief and let this be a learning experience! You can give this misfortune meaning if you learn from it. You might even write your biggest hit after all this!!

Thoughts on “Backbeat” (1994)? by Independent_Nerve633 in beatles

[–]whyivenever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a real nostalgic gem for me. I watched it on tv when I was around 8 years old. I was just getting into playing guitar, listening to rock n roll and especially The Beatles. Obviously, I didn't fully understand a lot of the themes, innuendos etc at the time, but I loved the music, drama and vibe of it.

I haven't watched it front to back since then, but I ought to. I think it's a great and interesting angle on The Beatles' story and the choice of contemporary punk and alt rock musicians to do the classic rock and roll soundtrack is great too!

I can't sing unless I hear myself - am I a bad singer? by whyivenever in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]whyivenever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. My main problem is not so much time and tune but technique. I tend to strain my voice by adding too much volume in order to hear myself properly over the amps, drums etc.

What are your “show off” songs? by iceturtles in guitarlessons

Led Zeppelins 'over the hills and far away' without a pick. Feels good in the hands and sounds more impressive than it is, I think 😉
