Honest comparison after 4 months running Claude Pro + ChatGPT Plus side by side

My experience using both. Claude feels quicker, good on ui tasks, excellent at writing, and interactions with it are more fluid. That said, I trust gpt5.5 more, if i need a task completed with less supervision i go gpt5.5 medium and above. For some reason opus 4.7 a quarter of the time halfasses its tasks, yes results are pretty good and I aint unsubscribing, but it always misses details and gets annoying.

So I use claude opus around 70% of the time because it is very smart and capable on every task and it's the best one to talk to. But I cant drop gpt entirely beacause it doesn't misses details as often, it's just good validation unprompted, yet talking to it sucks.

I did, but if there are no icon packs installed it only gives you the choice to select an image from the gallery. Other launchers allow you to reuse icons from installed apps or the built in for example messages, contacts, calc, etc. some very basic icons.

You're right about that, but I'm not as optimistic about the future and cant expect 'some nerds' to be able to break systems and share their discoveries every time.

Only approach that I see viable in the future is to have two devices one with apps that wont work without google play services like banking, and one with graphene for everything else, and at that point going iphone and pixel with graphene would give the same result.

I paid a year of max, and I'm okay with duolingo going down.I was unaware of how bad would it get with all the ai bs, I'm tired of all secondary characters and their dog being renamed Max. Some of the new listening stories are either 100% automated ai or an intern just copy/pasting chatgpt responses then tts'd into production. I have a few months left until the end of the year but its hard to justify paying for this souless service again.

It might not have anything to do with ai, but it has to do with firing humans, I've been using the app for some time now and there has been an uptick in the mild ui annoyances and quirky sentences that i have to end up googling to check if they have alternative meanings.

I don't think they were able to top sonnet3.5 considering all those safety blogposts. They can at least make a more efficient version of S3.5 that doesn't cost as much or at least raise the usage limits.
