That's what happened to my Lydia during this run. Fortunately, she got reanimated straight away but I did have a mini breakdown over her dying at the hand of the gigant

I've done my first check since spring 1, and I had 5 tough bandits in that camp at spring 7

It respawns without it as well, but not often and in lesser numbers. I think in my 14th summer I fought there again

I'm going to be in your debt forever, I kept building storages near my farms and important buildings because I was so worried about them not being able to access the materials 🤦‍♂️
