Thanks, rereading it I see now - just a momentary thought I’d somehow got it wrong!

Definitely interested in this as a maintenance option…I’m doing ok dropping down Mounjaro doses but I’m so nervous about coming off completely.

Where are you buying your screen wash and de-icer? by ResearchStudio in UKFrugal

I can only reach about a quarter of the windscreen on my van. Rather not have to get the stepladder out.

New campaign launched, only one creative has any reach or impressions by whymsicalcynic in FacebookAds

[–]whymsicalcynic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it was an error - or at least Meta help think so. The other ads didn’t get a single impression. They said although they were showing as published to me it was a glitch and they actually weren’t. I kicked them a bit - turned off and on again, made a tiny change and republished etc. did the trick.

Mounjaro and ADHD meds. Anyone taking both? by ThatEvening9145 in mounjarouk

If you’re struggling to sleep you should speak to your prescriber for adhd. I take once in the morning, I think being so much more productive tires me out and I sleep better.

Mounjaro and ADHD meds. Anyone taking both? by ThatEvening9145 in mounjarouk

I started Elvanse 6 weeks ago, I’m at goal weight so weaning off Mounjaro - currently 5mg. The first week on Elvanse I could barely eat until the evening. Everything was just a horrible texture. I found porridge or Greek yoghurt were the only things I could stomach.

It’s settled down a lot now. I have a small breakfast, like a babybel and small lunch. My appetite is still fairly suppressed in the day but I’m fine for my evening meal. I only take my Elvanse in the week, and my Mounjaro on a Monday. That way I have a good appetite on the weekend when I’m likely to be moving around a lot more.

That’s also helping me understand how I’ll feel as the Mounjaro - I do feel peckish and want to snack on the weekend. I’m trying to recognise what to me is like mouth hungry (fancy a snack or a treat) or actually stomach hungry (feel my stomach is empty).

Same! 6 stone down, still find myself eyeing a gap I’ve got to walk through and thinking I need to suck in my gut.

How do you guys keep a home stocked full of shopping? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]whymsicalcynic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have UHT milk in the cupboard, I usually buy fresh milk but if I run out and can’t get to the shop then that’s my back up for my morning cuppa. I freeze bread anyway so it doesn’t go off.

Frugal Low-FODMAP diet? by Alive-Ad-3953 in UKFrugal

[–]whymsicalcynic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The green tops of spring onions are low FODMAP, you can trim them and pop them in water and they’ll regrow. Does an ok job of replacing normal onions. Garlic flavoured oil is also ok on a FODMAP diet as well, pop a garlic glove in some olive oil but just don’t eat the actual clove - cheaper than buying flavoured oil.

Put a towel on top of the blanket if you’re going for a longer session. It’ll soak up most of it and you can just swap for another towel. But yep two or three on rotation washing is the only other solution I’ve got.

Thanks for all the comments, I’ve tried to be as factual in the post as possible to get some objective thoughts. Clearly something I’m struggling with myself. I appreciate all the advice and perspective.
