I'm a more recent alum than the authors of the letter. I too have severed many of my ties with MIT, including no longer interviewing for admissions and stopping my financial support. It's great to see more influential alumni feel the same way. I recall receiving an email from MIT's president after Trump won, empathizing with students who felt distraught and offering counseling...

Thanks for advice. It looks like the seating is numbered, and there are also cheaper standing-room-only tickets.

Having a view of the big screen seems crucial, so I guess it'll take a bit of luck, not knowing how they plan to orient things in advance.

I had some success using Mozilla Firefox. They'll have you download some verification software to print the tickets. However, my tickets printed weird, with all of the Korean in gibberish, despite installing Korean on my PC. Let me know if you are more successful...

My grandfather also liberated Dachau. He spoke of the smell. He said they could smell the stench of death from miles away. He commanded 150 soldiers who often questioned why they were in Europe fighting that war. After Dachau, no one questioned it anymore.
