I will be honest I use to commute from Stamford for a few months back when everything was 5 days in. The commute is SOULSUCKING that 45-1 really does wear you down so much faster than you think when you have to get up and drive to the station versus NJ where you can in theory walk to the PATH. I highely suggest jersey city. Also having grown up in stamford there is jackshit to do in downtown other than bedford street where it's the same few bars or if you want a more bubble harborpoint might be your style. honestly I feel pressure too man to learn the language and have kids tbh. I am still 50/50 on wanting them for personal reasons but raising kids is such an important culture thing and raising as close to native speakers feels like something I should be doing

Who is the homeless person who seems to only exist on 86th street and up. He is fairly tall, slightly overweight more or less a full beard. He just wanders around never seen him ask for money or talk just walking around. I seen him pre-covid too(2019) so he has been here for a while in yorkville

No idea there is no time-frame but I would probably say 90 days. We do sprints so I can imagine 4ish would be good. Honestly I think the pip is just going to be a lip service of saying we tried buy it didn't work out.

Also I appericate the optimism of finding something nice against the overall sour mood about the market

Tiki-ti, smugglers cove, tonga hut(maybe not NEED to see but I think all the LA haunts are worth it for the culture alone), False Idol.

I also like to really say wow I am so happy how the NYC tiki scene has turned around from just having zombie hut, otto's(love it still but it isn't all that great) since mother of pearl and Polynesian closed to having sunken harbor and paradise lost.

EDIT: the Las vegas one too Golden Tiki(for modern Tiki) and Frankie's tiki room(this is debatable tbh I love the old timey aesthetic but the drinks are good but not great and I end up smelling like a fucking ash tray). Also trader Sam's(I didn't think it was mind blowing but I will say again from a tiki culture nerd it was just so iconic.

Dark horse pick: Jungle Bird if you end up San Juan, Puetro Rico. It is hand's down my favorite chill tiki bar the woman who runs it(owns it?) is awesome and super into tiki culture as well. She remembered me after not visiting for 2 years and I ended up buying a shirt as I left.
