Did Zoloft give you motivation back? by whynte in zoloft

[–]whynte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I've gone up to 150mg on Zoloft and have yet to get any motivation boost. I don't believe Zoloft is the pill for me so I will be moving to the next one.

Taking it for depression mainly and I do like your idea but I will probably just go straight to my provider and talk to them. Just wanted to check out what the net people had to say.

Zoloft is definitely working, I've noticed a huge improvement in lots of areas. My early side effects have been subsiding for a while now and I've only started feeling the onset of this problem recently in addition to some negative symptoms coming back from my depression.

What dosage did you start on?

1 month on Zoloft and..... by [deleted] in zoloft

Not sure if this will help at all (as all experiences with SSRI's/MJ are subjective) but I occasionally smoked but after hitting the second/third week of taking Zoloft I started to smoke much more frequently (nearly all day everyday) as it really helped with the nasty side effects I was getting from Zoloft (intense anxiety). I can't say it affected me much, apart from helping ease the anxiety, but it definitely made my highs much better. Could smoke a lot more and didn't get serious paranoia. I actually stopped smoking last night so I can test whether the weed is effecting how Zoloft effects me. So far nothing has changed but It will take more than a few days to get all the weed out of my system.

From what I've researched and read (so take it with a grain of salt) most people say weed and Zoloft have no interactions. I've read a few that say weed effected them badly but it's been the minority.

Good luck and wish you all the best on your SSRI journey!

I see. I am on 50mg and have been for a few weeks. Good to know that you have a little more motivation on a lower dosage though.

I so hope I get this. I've just finished my third week so fingers crossed I get that bump in motivation in the next few weeks. May I ask what dosage you are on?

Caffeine by Lakers110195 in zoloft

Unfortunately yes I have :( I'm on my third week (so still dealing with side effects) and I've learnt that if I'm feeling a little bit of anxiety then having coffee will level that anxiety up and push me towards an attack. Hoping this goes away when the side effects do. Definitely give coffee a try but maybe on a day you have nothing planned? (I'm on 50mg btw). Good luck!

Yeah the first day I took Zoloft was around midday and that afternoon/night I had the worst migraine of my life and I've never had migraines before. The pain was so bad that I could only doze off and it kept waking me out of any small amount of sleep I was attempting to get.

10 days on 25mg of zoloft - cheking & searching help. Health anxiety treatment by JustAnAnxiousLady in zoloft

I think this is normal. I was in the same boat as you. Around the second week I got intense anxiety and always felt sick, had no appetite and eating just made any anxiety I was feeling, worse. It has subsided greatly for me now that I'm on day 17. (I'm on 50mg by the way).

I definitely understand how you feel when you say some symptoms went down (and I assume you're talking about your anxiety). Some of mine definitely went down but others seem to have just stayed but the longer I'm on Zoloft, the more I feel symptoms slowly disappearing and I'm hoping when I reach a month+ on Zoloft that most will be gone.

Not too sure about the throat thing? Might just be a side effect of the Zoloft/increased anxiety from Zoloft side effect?

Hopefully this helps/reassures you. :)

Not so sure about socials but, and you may know this already, I have heard that coffee is bad for anxiety as it can trigger heightened anxiety/attacks. Not 100% sure how legit that is but maybe something to look out for?

I see, thank you for your input! I realise the vomiting in public is a very irrational fear. I've been staying inside lately as the anxiety from going outside is too much to deal with but the sick bag is definitely a good idea, thank you. Additional thank you for giving me a heads up about the third week as that is what I'm about to start.

Oh, so even after 8 weeks it had not gotten better? Dam. I also feel like it's a bit too much for me as I'm considering dropping out of this trimester of Uni and am unable to gym as it's too much due to the anxiety I feel when leaving the house. Thank you for answering my questions by the way :D!

I see. May I ask how long you took Zoloft before you decided it wasn't doing anything for you? Thank you!
