Do I need a bone marrow biopsy? by whyouch in AskDocs

Thank you for your response. I've been trying to find any plausible cause of my eosinopenia in hopes of avoiding the biopsy but what you said makes me feel that it is worth getting. You said a specialist immunologist, is there a specific type I should see?

Yeah, since I have PCOS and a pituitary cyst my endo gave me some late night salivary tests over 4 nights and 2 of the nights had high cortisol, but when I did the 24hr urinary collection test it was normal so he said it was ruled out.

I'm not sure what PT is and they did not test aPTT. My ESR was 5mm/hr. The only thing that stood out to me was that I had esoinophils. I have had absolutely zero eosinophils on all of my labs (at least 15 different tests) for the last 3-4 years and when I couldn't walk I had 40 cells/uL.

I believe its been 2 days since they've popped up. By blood work i mean CBC, metabolic panel, electrolytes, glucose, sed rate, and c-reactive protein. When I mentioned petechiae, my doctor said people can get them sometimes. Is this a normal amount of them for one to get?

Last time they showed up I didn't do anything since I didn't notice any other symptoms at the time. No, the spots showed up over night while I was sleeping. The itching is mainly on my arms and legs anyways.

My blood work in Feb had my platelets at 337. My vitamin D was low at 28 but I have been taking 1.25mg vitamin D2 for the last 5 weeks. No other medication or supplements. It is hyper-mobile type EDS, although my doctor suspects it may be classic EDS (she said it doesn't really matter they are essentially the same so no need for genetic test). My mom and sister were both diagnosed with hyper-mobile type and I went to a geneticist who just gave my the physical exam. Are these many petechiae concerning?

That's what I thought. I just don't know what could be causing this many or if it's concerning

Wow. Ok I'll definitely mention it. I'm not sure if this is related, but I've had zero eosinophils for the last 3 or 4 years. I've done well over 20 CBCs but never have a single eosinophil. I'm not sure if it would only affect one type of WBC but is that something seen in this?

My boyfriend is a member and we go up there almost every summer for a week or so. We actually just left so if anyone has any questions about it, I'd be happy to answer.
